Hi All,

Sorry, I have a few dumb questions about the following plan, which I´m thinking of going for...

https://www.simplytel.de/index.php?page=sho...1_p&artikel=713

Unfortunately I have only just started learning German and mobile phone technology is almost as foreign to me these days anyway! blink.gif

So...

Has anyone who has this plan had problems with reception etc.?

Do I simply order their simcard online for the prepaid plan and stick it in my Nokia phone, which I bought in the UK, or are there any potential compatability problems?

And Simpli provides the German phone number, right? I assume I can top up credit online with my Visa credit card, correct?

Many thanks

Simply is (in my opinion) one of the best prepaid services, and certainly one of the cheapest at 14 cents per minute into all networks. They are based on the T-mobile network in Germany which has the best coverage, especially outside of the city. It takes 2-3 days from ordering (on Internet) to receiving your SIM card which works in any non SIM-locked phone. You pre-pay by automatic deduction from your (German) bank account (the only way to pay) either with a manual transfer or you can setup automatic transfers to top up your account when your credit goes below €2. You will get a mobile number (usually 0151...) in the German network - when you sign up you will be offered a choice of numbers so can often find one to suit you. Account management is only via Internet, where you can download statements, invoices or call-lists, along with manage your account to activate mailbox, roaming, etc. Calls to other Simply customers are especially cheap - 4cents per minute. Useful for family members or friends. In line with most other pre-paid services roaming abroad can be expensive (89cents per minute for incoming calls while in Europe)
