Hi all!

Am thinking of asking my GP to refer me to a skin specialist for allergy patch tests and would be really grateful if anyone here has had any experience with an English speaking one (or two) in Berlin Mitte! I would need names and addresses if possible so I could suggest one of them to him.

Many thanks in advance.

hello..

ive recently needed the same thing.. i was referred to Dr Kirsten Böhm on the 10th floor of the internationales Handelszentrum Friedrichstraße 95. Shes english speaking and very good.

I believe this practice is for private healthcare but she does also have a surgery thats not, I think it would be best to pop in and ask her

#4 As it turned out my doc told me it would be a waste of time going to a derm for patch tests. Apparently, I cannot live in a bubble?! He gave me even stronger hydrocortisone cream which I stopped using because it made matters worse and am now looking at other options. Meanwhile, the itchy & scratchy continues.

I have a lot of skin reactions here mainly because am not used to the hard water, dry air and buildings heated to the max on days like today ... 15C! Berlin is actually one of the cleanest cities I have ever lived in ... compared to places like Vietnam, China etc this place is sterile ... LOL!

Hi, I have a wart I would like to get rid of--does anyone know where I can go for this? I would prefer someone who can speak English, as my medical terminology is pretty lame. I live in Kreuzberg 36 so around there would be even better. Also someone cheap would be good!

I know it's a bit late, but I thought I'd add the info here for anyone else who might need it in the future... I go to Dr Raoul Hasert, his practice is on the corner of Friedrichstrasse and Oranienburgerstrasse. He did all my allergy tests and speaks good English, but is also patient with those who want to try and use their German. They also have a practice website, http://www.hasert-haut.de/
