OK, let Sk04 and I continue our legendary planning fetish... wink.gif

As next weekend is full of flat moving, birthday parties and windsurfing, we're planning to go walking on the 14th & 15th.

Plan: go to the alps, walk 1/2 day Saturday, stay in a moutnian hut. Next day walk back down, either full day or half then swimming in a lake.

I haven't planned anything fix yet, and will post next week with details. But please PM me if you are interested in coming, indiction if you have a car. (We won't drive more than 1-1.5 hours away).

Then it'll be simple!

Jooly
Graham
would love to join in on this one but I will be one of those moving that weekend sad.gif
steveNZ
I'm definitely keen, but... will be in UK again sad.gif
But the next weekend after that I won't smile.gif
And I'll have a car biggrin.gif

But I don't want to sway the "legendary" planning in any way shape or form.
JoolyBooly
don't worry, there are plans for every weekend until next summer I think wink.gif I'll be in blighty on the 21st weekend, but I'm sure there'll be something happening!
JoolyBooly
Ok, so so far we have 5 girls and a very excited shaggy...

think he could manage it alone, but maybe he should share some of this pie?! wink.gif
Shaggy
strange use of words JB.
chewy
yeah, come on guys, give us some meat.
or ru all wimps? wink.gif
JoolyBooly
ohmy.gif

my GOD! I'm a vegetarian! wink.gif

(Petal, are you coming?!)
chewy
the phrase back home goes something along the lines of "only putting meat between ur lips if it asks nicely!!" wink.gif

ps im veggie 2!
Shaggy
...and we wonder where Chewy gets her nickname...
JoolyBooly
@ chewy the question is, do you mean "veggie" or "veggie"... wink.gif
chewy
well im a good girl, and i only put meat in my mouth if it asks. (& i wanna!!)
and if im not being a good girl, im very good at being bad!!
tongue.gif
petal
JB - give me details about likely distance, and likely time taken. Is it a walk or a hike? How about heights???

BTW, as I don't eat any seefood or fish, I am a hardened meat eater - got to get my protein from somewhere biggrin.gif
JoolyBooly
something tells me this is going to be a girls only trip (shaggy included, of course laugh.gif ) .. you're scaring them all away! Our TT boys are shy and timid, you have to treat them gently...
JoolyBooly
@ poof

don't worry, looking for huts with a route for you and a separate one for Canuck laugh.gif

PS: your posts have gotten seriously cheeky since the weekend!
Kza
Ladies ladies! Surely one of things that was supposed to stay in Italy was your dodginess?
QUOTE
don't worry, looking for huts with a route for you

Heh, is route pronounced the American or British way in this case? biggrin.gif
JoolyBooly
Good point! But I think she can sort out the root herself...
Johnny_who?
Hey JB, any more information about the hike/hut etc. I'd be interested - already missed the trip to Italy sad.gif
JoolyBooly
I'll post next week with details as am waiting to see how many people want to come to pick a hut and sort out cars.

But the idea stays the same:

1) going somewhere where 2 groups can walk up, one easy and one hardcore
2) leaving on saturday either at lunchtime or maybe harcore could leave in earlier car
3) stay in hut overnight
4) walk back down then head to a lake on sunday if weather is good.

Current options are: hut above Innsbruck where you can walk and climb in the area, Blaueishütte near Bertchesgarten which has 2 routes up... and other suggestions welcome
Lizz
The boyf's here that weekend so will have to ask, but might just leave him in munich if he says no! Any car space for 2 little ones?
JoolyBooly
cars are looking good, we have 10 people (4 tbc. inc. you, bf and Jeeves) and 3 cars (tbc. inc. jeeves)
VDB
might be up for this, but I'll have to see early next week.
Johnny_who?
I'm definitely interested...not 100% sure yet because a friend wanted to come for a visit...
I'm up for any Klettersteig but no climbing...
JoolyBooly
My God, the site is quiet today! Good, can finally get some work done ;o)

Ok, as long as the re-setting of my finger (thank you, Canuck) doesn't involve a huge plaster cast and no driving, then this weekend is still on. sad.gif

At the moment I have the following confirmed, maybes, and mentioned after way too much wine:
Name sure (y or ?)

Photojenny y
vae078 y
shaggy y (+car)
JoolyBooly y (+car)
chewy y
bee sting y

Lizz ?
Lizz's bf ?
johnny who? ?
vdb ?
fluff/nutella/silver ? (+car)
toast ?
johnny_who? ?
Petal ? (+car?)
Canuck ?
RubberDuck ?

Please confirm by PM to me by 17:00 on Tuesday, then I'll book the hut.
Please mention if you have a car too.

The current plan is to leave around mid-day on Saturday, go to Pongau (just south of Salzburg, ca. 1.5 hours), walk 3-4 hours up to a hut. Then on Sunday there is a "climbing garden" for climbers, also a peak to reach or just a meander in the hills. Then to lake (e.g. Chiemsee) for a surf/swim on the way back.

So all levels are catered for.

I was asked about equipment: very clear answer is I am not responsible for you or your bods if you come on this trip wink.gif
Bring whatever gear you would normally wear to walk in the mountains, i.e. sturdy shoes, a waterproof depending on forecast, fleece, change of clothes. Plus washkit, water, snacks, something to sleep in and a sheet or sleeping bag liner for the hut. Swim togs for the lake and sun cream. And toys, lots of toys!

Jooly
Toast
toys? could you be more specific? wink.gif
Shaggy
funny shaped ball
jml
shouldn't you get that checked out by a doctor? sad.gif
JoolyBooly
more the fact that he only has one... I know a song about that...

anyway, there is a trend towards some people wanting to head off on Friday... so please tell me when you could leave if you're coming, either Friday "any time", friday after 3pm, or Saturday.

Idea for Friday: go camping by a lake, maybe Chiemsse which is en route then we can surf and perhaps even go to abba in concert?! rolleyes.gif

oh and @ toast... wampant wabbit goes on tour!!! laugh.gif
bee_sting
oh no, I have to remove my name sad.gif Too much to do, too little time... And now I will have to look at the pictures of you lot having an incredible time without me, again.
Shaggy
@JB as per PM- I can head down from mid day Friday.. showing my age, but Abba is worth doing.

@JML- better that than me admiting I'm the toy in question wink.gif

@JB- actually, I do only have 1... and it's borrowed from Gideon...

U girlie are a bunch of pervs!!
rubber duck
@shaggy - I guess you ask for it, babe!! tongue.gif
Johnny_who?
I'm definitely up for it...

what's the name of the hut?
Shaggy
Hi Jonny.. more male support... thk God. wink.gif

JB will post all extra info... prob 2moro/Wed.
Johnny_who?
so who's up for climbing? should I bring my gear?
Shaggy
may be a few of us up for climbing... if you can pack light, then it makes sense to bring it along.
david@muc
Im for definite JB, leaving fri is no prob either smile.gif
JoolyBooly
ok so the following people are still unconfirmed...

sprocket
Lizz
Lizz's bf
Petal
Canuck
RubberDuck

for you and also
chewy
vae78

I need to know when you could leave and if you have transport. As it stands we are short of cars, so RD/Petal/someone else would have to drive (it's not that far)
rubber duck
I can´t make it. Have fun. RD
petal
Ok, so after much diliberation, I think I'm up for this, but want to go on Friday (can go anytime on Friday) and do the Abba concert thing. Don't have tent or sleeping bag, though, but wouldn't mind camping if someone is willing to share tent!

Would prefer not to take my car, as haven't yet got it checked out, but if the situation gets desperate, I will be prepared to.
Shaggy
@Petal
You've been lounging for 5 weeks and still not got the car checked out?? (think we could do with it if available) Take a break from the wine and drop into a Pitstop tongue.gif
JoolyBooly
OK, so based on me, toast and shaggy driving I have 14 seats and have booked 14 beds in the Blaueishütte near Bertchesgarden for Saturday night. Cost: € 7 for DAV-members, € 14 if not.

the following 9 have re-confirmed and have a bed and space in a car on Friday:
Photojenny, shaggy, JoolyBooly, fluff, toast, johnny_who?, dave@muc, ume, petal

What I don't have is an idea from you where you intend to sleep on Friday! I presume you are all bringing camping gear, as none have said otherwise except Ume and Petal? I have asked the Prien tourist board for a list of available Bed&Breakfast places as it's usually very cheap there...

but please notice this was an extra option that came in, I don't have time to arrange it all this week and you can always join us by train on Saturday at Prien or Bertchesgarden if it doesn't work.

@ vdb and arwen: see train option, cars seem to all be leaving friday. Do you still plan to come?

The following have not re-/confirmed and need to tell me if they want a bed and a space in a car. I also need to know when you would leave: if on Friday, do you have camping gear and if on Saturday, either you have a car or are coming by train.

david@muc
what is a DAV-member please, someone?
MysteryMan
Deutsche Astrologen Verband
Arwen
this is a member of "Deutscher Alpenverein", it's an alpine club. u pay a yearly fee and usually get better rates at huts, maps...
Johnny_who?
Deutscher Alpenverein

david@muc
In case I've missed it, has a meeting place been agreed, if so where and when.
JoolyBooly
I'm on strike!

I'm not arranging the time and place to meet until I know the munchkins I have in my car have actually organised a bed for themselves to sleep in on Friday night!

So as I said before, eveyone post or preferable PM me to say you have a tent and if you have spare room... and don't bother asking me to find a tent for you, I have one and it is full! Shaggy's is also full. ParrotHead offered one the other week, also Sparty... ask around tonight.

off to doctor...
ParrotHead
JB,

I'm in if there is any room left in the cars.
I have a 2-man tent with one free spot.
JoolyBooly
Ok so the tents are solved with ParrotHead's help.

tent 1 (JB's):
Photojenny
petal
JoolyBooly

tent 2 (Photojenny's)
fluff
toast

tent 3 (johnny_who?'s)
johnny_who?
dave@muc
ume

tent 4 (Shaggy's)
Shaggy + space for harem wink.gif

tent 5 (ParrotHead's)
ParrotHead
canuck

Basically in order of my excel table and with couples and girlies separate. If you don't agree with the division, PM the person you want to swap with. Camping prices: tent € 4,50, person €6,90, car €1,60. If you prefer a B&B PM me for the available stuff for Friday, B&B's go for €15 per person..

I presume all of you have equipment except Ume and Petal, who have asked. I am checking with my flatmate, if his stuff is free I have sleeping mats for Petal, Ume, Dave@Muc, Fluff and Toast (Toast you'll love yours, matching rainbow patterns tongue.gif ). I also have 2 spare sleeping bags which I guess are reserved for Ume and Petal. Fluff&Toast could just bring a duvet...

You all need to bring a sheet or a sheet-sleeping bag liner for the hut.

Cars are sorted, we have 11 campers plus 3 people coming by train on Saturday to Prien (VDB/Arwen, Lizz and Lizz's bf). So I, Shaggy and Fluff will drive. Times to follow...

does anyone have a trailer for all this gear?! ohmy.gif
david@muc
JB,

I'm ok for a sleeping bag but can I borrow a mat please.
