TT weekend in Italy - 30th July 2004

Building on a posting from JB, is anyone up for a weekend fun in Italy?
We have 3 cars already confirmed thus places for another c. 8 people (split costs).

Destination Lake Garda , Italy.
Biking, sailing, hiking...or just lobster yourself on the beach.

Depart 30th July 5pm (point tbc)
Stay at Lakeside Hostel costing about €13pn.
Return late Sunday Aug 1st

Anyone else with a car? (Tartan, Jolly and SK04 thusfar)

Not one of the cars that drove down had a problem with traffic.

At the order of Kza, first pictures are up. Only a few and relatively small, that may change over the next day or two. Most are from the small and active group who went hiking on the Saturday. Ask the others for the incriminating photos!

My short reply just before I will catch up from 6 hours of sleep during the whole weekend...

That was an wonderful weekend!! No traffic indeed, on the way back we only got hit by a thunderstorm with the most beautiful lightning!!

On the topic of pictures... I will browse my 350 pictures, take out the most embarrasing ones (and believe me, there are a few ) and put them on my gallery asap

Great weather, great food, fun times, and best of all were the people, such an entertaining bunch! It was especially great to see a lot of new faces there. Top marks and many thanks to JB for organizing such an amazing weekend. I am looking forward to doing this sort of thing more often!

I'm amazed that four of you had the stamina to post last night, and two even uploaded pics. I probably had more sleep over the weekend than anyone else and I just fell into bed. Credit!

Before I go back to pretending to work (i.e. sleeping, trying not to drool on keyboard) I have 2 things to say:

1) Thanks for a top weekend, what a great crowd!
2) Who was that girl with the blue top and black skirt on Friday night? Never seen her before, looks like a bit of an alcoholic to me...

Full marks to my "cool car", especially for the hardcore crowd that even made it to Günther Murphy's on the way home.. Sparty is excused, as long as he doesn't post any photos!

Well, I must concur with the previous posts and first off send a huge VIELEN DANK to JB for organizing for such a wonderful trip, and to SK for the initial idea. It really came off without a hitch, which is quite a feat considering all the logistics.

Turned out to be a terrific group, awesome weather, beautiful area, and just lot's of fun. A nice surprise to not have to suffer in traffic either! The weekend completely exceeded my expectations. I look forward to more events like this!!

What a fantastic weekend, thanks to Joolybooly and SKO4 for great organisation. Brilliant weather, excellent scenery and an enormously energetic and thirsty group of 20+ people.
