It'll be fun c'mon along. And if not you can always do like the very wise Persimmon says.
How does one say "i need to go home now, I think I hear my mother calling me..." in German?

I will come along this Thursday. However, my German is ganz schlecht. So people looking for real begineers would have no problems.

Give it up xargon. If you haven't made it beyond 10 words after all this time, you will never make it. Don't screw it up for others.

That is why Persimmon always is leaving early.

@Persimmon
Ha ha. But if I recall correctly, I have been the one to leave early the last two times, and I think the excuse last time was...I need to run home to punch down my bread dough...but it may have come out of my mouth as..."See you later, had a great time"

Jml??? You are representin' for L-town tonight?? See you there, but I would place my bets on that Persimmon lasts longer than I will. My girlfriend visits tomorrow, and I must clean the place up...so I must return while it is still light enough to catch the dust bunnies!
Thanks Shaggy for arranging the meetup. Park Cafe was a good choice. Right in the city but lots of leafy trees and bushes, especially since we got the corner tisch. (There was however a big ass leaf trying to hump my ear. It was not grr baby. Ok maybe it was. Ahh nature).
Anyhoo, good food, good company and good practise. Special thanks to the natives esp rubber duck for suffering through my german again.
PS: Broken M left first.

wasn't a leaf... was broken m...
Mini nag... Pls pls post the attendance list that Ed Bob so kindly set up... makes getting the table reservation right... saves getting squashed to death between Dutchmen and secret scousers...
Nice evening and a good crowd...best of all, 200m from home
.. next one, by request probably at Cafe Motzart (where ever that is )...Thursday 28th

Was impressed that by 10pm, I was sitting almost alone in Park Cafe, trying to speak German with myself. Everyone finished and left so quickly ! Must change my aftershave !

Next time I promise to stay longer. I have just been a bit busy these last couple of weeks. I may even outlast Persimmon. But it was a great location, thanks for organising Shaggy!

I was thinking about the next one (Thurs 28th) being a meal event at the Blue Nile (greaaat food!)... fun place.. eat with hands etc.
Anyone prefer just a bar? Please post preferences by Friday so i can plan reservations..

Not sure if I'll be there as have visitors but my 2cents is that proper restaurants are hard given that peeps come (and go) at different times. It would be nice as long as either:
1. peeps commit to showing up on time
2. the restaurant and staff are well warned and amenable that peeps will be coming and going AND possibly not everyone would be eating...
sounds like a tall order really but it would be worth it to iron out the details so no one gets their nose out of joint.

Sounds great, and I like how you change up the venues (Biergartens, cafes and Restaurants), but I don't know if I can come as I will be having visitors coming as well. I agree with jml, though on making it a fixed time, rather than a come and go evening.

Ok.. seems that we should org the Blue Nile for a separate event then...
suggestions then folks??
I also have friends in town so since many of the regulars can't make it, maybe we should delay by one week then.. or pull forward to tomorrow..

Ahh... you've changed this ! You were going to delay this one week. I will be at the Höfbraukeller for a drink or two, as it's by B'day that day. Maybe some of you can come by later ? U4/U5 goes from
Karlsplatz to Max-Webber Platz, or jump on the 18 tram, and it goes right past the Höfbraukeller !

Hi Pepper,
It seemed a few ppl still wanted to meet... if numbers are low though, we can push back until the following week.

Well, if the weather holds out (Thursday's forecast - hottest yet at 34 degrees, with high humidity, so good chance for a storm), there is always this as an alternative !

To make it easier for the newbies:
If we are outside, look for a table close to the Beer Hut...
There'll be a YELLOW RUGBY BALL on the table.
If it is rainy, ask for "Toytown" inside.
