The problem is that an authorised oraganiser has not set a date place and time yet. Untill that is done you can't add your name to say you'll go.
Maybe PM one of the people who went before to see where and when the next one will be.

Usually these are every two weeks (last one was just last Thursday, so the next one would be next week 9.5), however you can not sign up for it before the place has been chosen. Therefore after Shaggy chooses the date, you will see this thread revived and then you may sign-up on the sheet. It really is a great event that Shaggy organises (and maybe some other people-not trying to leave anyone out), that usually has a mix of English and German native speakers, so you really can have help with your German. See you there!

Anybody have any preference where to hold the 16th June event? Beer garden would be great but need to wait on the weather report..

We could always go to
Augustiner Keller - good weather stay outside, wet/cold weather go inside (in the cellar).
Same goes for
MaxE's, but we've only been there recently (not that I'd mind going there again though).

I aggree the Keller is always a good choice inside or out...

Jun 8 2005, 3:54 pm
Ok.. lets go for the Augustiner Keller I've updated the attendance list.If outside: we'll be close to the Hendel stall.
If rained off or too cold, Inside, we'll reserve under Toytown.
It's a big place so I'd suggest taking some handy numbers... pm me/Olli if you you don't have any.

Hi vytla- If you click the attendance list in the 1st post, you'll see the details. 7pm start.
@ALL- alas, work takes me away again for the next 10 days so Brokenm has kindly jumped in to sort out logistics. If anyone needs a mobile number, pls PM him.

Does anyone have an idea on how we will recognise each other (for the newbies) if the weather permits us to be seated outside? Otherwise, just send me a PM and I will send you my handy number.

Hey Vytla,
Don't feel left out...
I came there too, but couldn't find you guys, because I only knew Oliver out of the whole group, and there were millions of people there speaking German, and couldn't really hear any English. May be next time, we will get each other's phone numbers before going for an event.

vytla and simpleboy - sorry you missed us! As stated in earlier posts in the thread, just PM the ones that are organizing for a handy number, and call. Remember also, since it is a German Stammtisch, you won't have much luck listening for English (unless you arrive late and we've switched to English because we can't be arsed to talk Kraut anymore).

This event is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Looks like Shaggy isn't here to organize it. Post here if interested in participating, and I suggest that if a minimum of say 10 people sign up we can reserve a table e.g. at MaxE's. Otherwise, we can do it next week.

Well good! So let's plan on going ahead with it then. Please
sign up if you're planning to come so we have an idea of numbers.
Is
Max Emanuel ok with everyone? If it rains the beer garden terrace is somewhat rain protected, and they also have proper indoor seating.

I might make it out... what time does this little get-together usually start? And finish? I have a friend going back to the States and want to see him sometime either before or after the Stammtisch... I'd bring him but he's only visiting and "er sprict kein deutsch."

So... is there a particular table, or "TT Stammtisch" sign (in case the place is crowded)? Or do we 1st-timers just have to ask every table there, "Sind sie die TT Leute?

Probably won't make 6:30-7 but maybe later on.

Table for 10 people is reserved for 7pm under 'Toytown'. It will probably be one of the tables on the terrace of the beergarden.

Cool I could do with improving mein Deutsch - so i might well show up - if i haven´t drowned in a sea of Augustiner in the mean time - a horrific possibility - that stuff goes down way too easy - especially the Edelstoff - anyway - slan libh - in my other mother tongue - (which means simply good-bye in Irish) .. or bis dann either ... or tschus (i´m getting carried away now ain´t i..

We are generally quite gentle. As stated there are normally people there of all different levels, and well the more advanced ones can also help. So just ask them questions.
