Thank you to TexasTornado for an excellent lamb dinner, I was particularly impressed to get such a good substantial portion, that really hit the spot. I also thought giving me that little doughnut type thing as there was no pudding available was also a nice touch. Well done everyone at the TB.
Thanks also to Shaggy for saying I look no older than 25, I am almost 33 you know, and i still have all my teeth and hair

Ok, nobody's hosting this week's Stammtisch yet so I thought I take it.
Next event is going to be on Thursday, 14th April, starting at 8pm.
My proposal is to go to
Cafe Altschwabing, they have a backroom that we should try to take over.
Address is Schellingstrasse 56, it's a five minute walk from
U-Bahn stations Universität or Theresienstrasse.
Please PM or post if you like to come so I can reserve tables accordingly.

´Hi people, just a question...
i am new, how will I know who you all are when i get there?
ask the waiter?

see you today
Onni
Apr 14 2005, 12:31 pm
Hi Elena, I forgot to mention that tables are reserved under the name "Becker" - just ask the waiter for that. We're going to sit in the rear part of the cafe and we are probably the only bigger group there. The place isn't very big so I guess it's easy to find us.
Any last minute people like to join in? Even famous folks like Thomas Mann or Paul Klee were chatting German in this cafe so we'll have the chance to follow in their footsteps

I think I might join tonight, at least for a bit. I've never been to one before, but no better nice, since its right near my place! How should I recognize you? (since the normal 'people speaking English' isn't going to fly)

Thursday 28th April 8pm-10pmCafe am Beethovenplatz (aka. Cafe Mariandl)
Goethestrasse 51
80336 MünchenIt's a 5 min walk from
U-Bahn stops
Sendlinger Tor, Theresienwiese and

Just curious, how hard is it to talk to English speaking people in German who are not as fluent as you? I might be interested in attending this one, but to be honest, I think that I would switch too easily back to English.
