@ Shaggy, I shall need a note from you mother if you intend to skip class.

Nilpferd's leaving do is taking place at the main bar and we have extra staff on hand to accomodate everyone.
More tea, Vicar?
Excellent idea.

That's the spirit.
ChicagoUSA
Sarah and I had a good time tonight. Look forward to seeing you again.
Friday
Thank you to TexasTornado for an excellent lamb dinner, I was particularly impressed to get such a good substantial portion, that really hit the spot. I also thought giving me that little doughnut type thing as there was no pudding available was also a nice touch. Well done everyone at the TB.

Thanks also to Shaggy for saying I look no older than 25, I am almost 33 you know, and i still have all my teeth and hair
elena
Hi,
Will there be a meeting next Thursday? I would like to join.

Shaggy

@Kit Kat- your turn to arrange?
vamsi
I would like to join u guys this time. It should be next thursday..right?
pepper
Where is it ? Was this decided ?
Shaggy
@ Pepper- U up for posting somewhere? I'm travelling this week so looking for someone to arrange as although I'll make it, I'm not gonna have spare time to manage it this week.
pepper
I am travelling as well this week, much like always, so its only a 50-50 whether I will be back on Thursday evening or not to attend.
Shaggy
I've asked Kit Kat...hopefully she'll have the time.
Onni
Ok, nobody's hosting this week's Stammtisch yet so I thought I take it.

Next event is going to be on Thursday, 14th April, starting at 8pm.

My proposal is to go to Cafe Altschwabing, they have a backroom that we should try to take over.
Address is Schellingstrasse 56, it's a five minute walk from U-Bahn stations Universität or Theresienstrasse.

Please PM or post if you like to come so I can reserve tables accordingly.
Shaggy
Thx Onni...
ume
I will be there... smile.gif

Blimeygirl
Tom and I plan to get there a bit later...I have been out of the Deutsch loop since my injury...go easy on me wink.gif
elena
´Hi people, just a question...
i am new, how will I know who you all are when i get there?
ask the waiter? smile.gif
see you today
Onni
Hi Elena, I forgot to mention that tables are reserved under the name "Becker" - just ask the waiter for that. We're going to sit in the rear part of the cafe and we are probably the only bigger group there. The place isn't very big so I guess it's easy to find us.

Any last minute people like to join in? Even famous folks like Thomas Mann or Paul Klee were chatting German in this cafe so we'll have the chance to follow in their footsteps tongue.gif
roots
I might stop by for this
oli2000
I might be along, not 100% sure though. If so, I'd likely be there already around 7:30pm. Anyone else coming early?
elena
ok great
i will be a bit late, 8:30 or so
Onni
Oli, I'll be there around 7:40pm.
BostonSportsFan
I think I might join tonight, at least for a bit. I've never been to one before, but no better nice, since its right near my place! How should I recognize you? (since the normal 'people speaking English' isn't going to fly)
Onni
Hi BSF, see German speaking Stammtisch - Language practice how to find us. CU later!
Kit Kat
The next German Stammtisch is...

Thursday 28th April 8pm-10pm
Cafe am Beethovenplatz (aka. Cafe Mariandl)
Goethestrasse 51
80336 München

It's a 5 min walk from U-Bahn stops Sendlinger Tor, Theresienwiese and Goetheplatz or take the Bus 58 straight to Beethovenplatz.

We had the Stammtisch once here before and they have great food and an atmosphere to match smile.gif So, folks, time to venture out of Schwabing and speak some German!

Please post by Monday evening if you're interested, so that I can book a table.
vamsi
Sounds great. Have heard of this cafe before. This time I am surely in.
Shaggy
Cheers Kit Kat... appreciate you organising. This is a great place to eat.

I'm hoping to land in time so pls put me down as a def maybe.
Blimeygirl
Tom and I are probably in...will have to gauge foot pain though and decide that evening smile.gif As usual will get there by 9 if we make it.

If I remember correctly that food was really good...particularly the jacket potato wink.gif or was that somewhere else?
pepper
OK, first time in a while I am actually in Munich during the week, with not too much to do, I should make this one.
Sarahclem
I would really like to come to this, i don't finish work until 9.10 pm though so it would be 9.30 at the earliest and all this is new to me! Should i just come along? unsure.gif
jml
Hi Peeps. Reporting in from outer space. Okay not outer space just really high up. I love inflight internet. It makes me giddy. That and the fact that I had to work and so have been double fisting coffee and cola light. Anyhoo, why did I pop up here...oh yeah, I can't come this week. mad.gif but I should be able to pop by for the next one, be afraid very afraid. ph34r.gif
Shaggy
@sarahclem- normally the event goes on until at least 10-10.30 so drop on in...

@jml- excuses wink.gif Wanna see how the all thewads of cash you through at the Goethe Inst has worked cool.gif
eurovol
Just curious, how hard is it to talk to English speaking people in German who are not as fluent as you? I might be interested in attending this one, but to be honest, I think that I would switch too easily back to English.
