I maybe working somewhere else in Germany...
Some of the work I have been offered has been in smaller towns (i.e. 140 km out of Frankfurt), so if I can speak better German it will make my life a lot easier.

My Aunt is German and my Uncle also speaks German. I can practice with them if I go back to the UK.

Hello everybody!
I've just signed up for the Stammtisch, my very first TT 'event'.
Just a fair warning, my German is pretty basic but I hope to be able to communicate with rest of yis.
If anything, I learned in the last few months that hands (and sometimes feet

) + a lot of smiling can do a wonder when trying to get yourself understood 'auf Deutsch'
Looking forward to meeting you on Thursday,
Ema

Except that link is for the branch in Tal, which is the wrong one...
this is the right one, Feilitzschstraße 4, near
Münchner Freiheit. Had this problem already when the chill-out went there - thought it was reported at the time but obviously not. Have done so now.

I was glad to make it again last night, even if I spoke a good deal more English than German.

I should know better, though, than to agree to go to another bar afterwards with an unemployed Canadian and an Australian who tends bar for a living. Still made it to work at 9, though...

heh heh it were fun, even if you were looking at your watch every two minutes! you over-employed half 'merican/belgish punk! : )
and come on, some of us did "try" to speak German as much as we could. I think I even learned the name of a very complex vegetable!
As well as getting a good math lesson in there too!(Thanks Steve!)

May 15 2007, 7:21 am
I might be up for it... but I can't walk very well at the moment so it would have to be a place really fast to get to from S-Bahn (or with decent parking). Not goin anywhere for the holiday due to the temporarily bum leg.

May 15 2007, 7:48 am
@CapeBretoner
It is going ahead this Thursday 17th despite it being a public holiday. See attendance list for location and to sign up if you intend to join.
@one51
It is about a 2min walk from S-Bahn:
Rosenheimerplatz (exit Steinstr.) so you should be able to hobble there!
Kats
May 15 2007, 7:50 am
Yes, its still one, I even if its a bank holiday.
The place is a minute walk fron the S Bahn Rposenheimerplatz.
