Kats

mancunian

madgibson
@Mancunian
Starts at 19.30

@Beer-monster
Thought you were leaving at end of April so how come you're just starting an intensive course now??
Beer-Monster
I maybe working somewhere else in Germany...

Some of the work I have been offered has been in smaller towns (i.e. 140 km out of Frankfurt), so if I can speak better German it will make my life a lot easier. wink.gif

My Aunt is German and my Uncle also speaks German. I can practice with them if I go back to the UK.
Kats
Hi, next german stammtisch will be on the 19th. at Don Lucas Leopoldstr 44. I thought of starting at 8 this time because a lot of people cant make it before. Hope thats okay.
madgibson
Suits me...probably be nearer 21.00 before I get there anyway...cocktails...yummy smile.gif
Kats
Who else is up for the Stammtisch on Thursday? Newbies and Beginners are very welcome!!!
emaba
Hello everybody!
I've just signed up for the Stammtisch, my very first TT 'event'.
Just a fair warning, my German is pretty basic but I hope to be able to communicate with rest of yis.
If anything, I learned in the last few months that hands (and sometimes feet tongue.gif) + a lot of smiling can do a wonder when trying to get yourself understood 'auf Deutsch' blink.gif

Looking forward to meeting you on Thursday,
Ema
madgibson
Wonder if it will be warm enough to sit out on the terrace?

@Kats
It's starting at 20.00 right? Probably be a bit chilly by then already - did you reserve inside? Pity we'll miss happy hour...na ja, man kann nicht alles haben!
madgibson
P.S. Where in the world is Pepper tomorrow evening or is he one of your +4's?
Kats
Yes it starts at 8pm because a few people cant make it before. I dont know where Pepper is or if he is still alive. He is not of mine + 4 smile.gif See you tom. Katja
Elemmaciltur
Might not be able to make it...got quite a bit on my hands today...
prijks
Really sorry everyone, I forgot to cancel... I have a cold and can't make it...
madgibson
Well, that was quite a turn out last night! Was good to meet Muffin & owner...I think she stole the show...even won me over smile.gif Maybe you should start a TT four legged friends' meetup...a la Muffin meets Cookie etc!
Kats
Hi, time to set up the next Stammtisch. It will be Thursday, 3rd, 7.30 at the Riva Feilitzschstr 4. If tthe weather is good we can sit outside. As usuall newbies and beginners are very welcome!!!
Kats
Hi, okay so who is up for the Stammtisch on Thursday? Beginners and Newbies are very welcome. We will meet at Riva, Feilitzstr.
gauthamkk
Ok count me inplease , I am new to Munich ad would be happy to practice my German as well so Riva is it ? how to get there?
Keydeck
Hint: clicky clicky on the linky winky.
gauthamkk
Hey Thanks Keydeck ...
Tiggi
Except that link is for the branch in Tal, which is the wrong one... this is the right one, Feilitzschstraße 4, near Münchner Freiheit. Had this problem already when the chill-out went there - thought it was reported at the time but obviously not. Have done so now.
helena
I might pop along after my french lesson, just to completely confuse myself!
prijks
I was glad to make it again last night, even if I spoke a good deal more English than German. smile.gif

I should know better, though, than to agree to go to another bar afterwards with an unemployed Canadian and an Australian who tends bar for a living. Still made it to work at 9, though...
Mook32
heh heh it were fun, even if you were looking at your watch every two minutes! you over-employed half 'merican/belgish punk! : )
and come on, some of us did "try" to speak German as much as we could. I think I even learned the name of a very complex vegetable!
As well as getting a good math lesson in there too!(Thanks Steve!)
prijks
Do you remember the name of this complex vegetable? smile.gif
Kats
Hi, okay time to sort out the next stammtisch. It will be on the 17th ( its a bank holiday, but I hope a few are interested to come ) It will be at the Jazz Cantina, Steinstr 83 Ecke Rosenheimerplatz. We will meet at 8. As its a small place, but with great Cocktails smile.gif , it would be great if you sighn up. Katja
smug
Is it open to everyone? Even if you an accent that's like gravel?
Kats
Everyone who speaks a bit of german is welcome!!!
one51
I might try to come by... my German practicing has not been up to par lately.
madgibson
No can do this time...then I'm away on my hols...so it'll be at least mid June before I can make it again.
Kats
Hi, okay who is up for the Stammtisch on Thursday? Please can you sign up by Wednesday 5pm because the place needs numbers of how many are going to come. Thanx! Newbies and Beginners are welcome. See you then, Katja
CapeBretoner
Is this still on for Thurs. as it is a holiday? Would love to join in perhaps next one then...
one51
I might be up for it... but I can't walk very well at the moment so it would have to be a place really fast to get to from S-Bahn (or with decent parking). Not goin anywhere for the holiday due to the temporarily bum leg.
madgibson
@CapeBretoner
It is going ahead this Thursday 17th despite it being a public holiday. See attendance list for location and to sign up if you intend to join.

@one51
It is about a 2min walk from S-Bahn: Rosenheimerplatz (exit Steinstr.) so you should be able to hobble there!
Kats
Yes, its still one, I even if its a bank holiday.
The place is a minute walk fron the S Bahn Rposenheimerplatz.
one51
OK, I know that bar, it is close to the S. Maybe I missed it, but what TIME does it start? I didn't see it in sticky post or attendance list huh.gif
Gargravarr
Just bumping this to see if a time has been decided. I can't normally make Thursdays but as tomorrow is a holiday I'd like to come along...
madgibson
Having just looked at the archive from last week when Kats orginally posted about the Stammtisch - it seems to be starting at 20.00.
Gargravarr
Cheers!
mr k
Due to personal circumstances beyond my control I have to cancel this weeks stammtisch and also unfortunately for the foreseeable future.
Hutcho
To be clear, you are not canceling the stammtisch, you are just not going to come.. the Stammtisch itself will go ahead today and in the future..
Kats
Yes, Stammtisch will be on today and in the future.
hezamarie
We'll see you all there at 8pm smile.gif
one51
OK, 20:00 it is! See y'all there...
mr k
@ Hutcho

sorry yeah, just a figure of speech.
Kats
Thanx you all for coming and for the nice evening. See you next time. Katja
one51
