Any interest in holding the Stammtisch on Thurs. 21st or is everyone already leaving for Xmas?? Would appreciate some feedback. If there is enough interest I'll organise something.

Yes, it's still going ahead. Kats & I will be there on time (19.30). Some people just turn up unnannounced...you never know.

Thanks for organising but disappointing that not a word of German spoken! Also might be advisable to let potential attendees know that it appears to be aimed at those that are already fluent and not those keen to improve their linguistic abilities!!! Great venue, good food and good to meet some new faces. elemmaciltur hope your radio spot went well.. and the cocktails didn't cause too many slurred words!!! Every time I've been to this German was spoken until the very end of the night.

Usually this is not the case - I've been to the stammtisch a few times now and there are usually a good few people taking their first steps with the language who are interested in practising basic conversation.

FranB, actually there was an episode when we were talking in German, but you were talking to someone else then. And Jayhay is right, there are quite a good few people who turns up with very little knowledge of the language and they would just try anyway and we all would help them. So, don't be discouraged and please do come the next time, it would be great to talk to you (in German )

BTW, I gave you the wrong airtime, we aired from 21-22 hrs. Anyway, I got there just in time for the event calender...got shoved into the studio and I went on air. Yesterday's programme should be put online HERE soon. I'm right towards the last 5 minutes of the show.

It has traditionally taken place on thursdays. I don't know if it would change. There are other TT events the rest of the week, so it's likely it stays thursdays.

Time to think about where to go for the next Stammtisch on Thurs. 25th Jan. - any suggestions for new places? One suggestion was Ryan's Muddy Boot in Neuhausen - that might be an idea - the Irish pubs seem to be popular...

Yes it is. The neext Stammtisch will be on the 8 th , at the riva bar pizzeria Feilitzstrasse 4 in Schwabing. I booked a table for 7.30. See you then.
