Hi arterika, I hope you enjoy Germany. My best friend's name was Oxana, she was from Ukraine (now located on a reclining cloud with a footrest watching over me).

So you must know some Ukrainian. Yes, it is pretty common name there, but I am originally not from that area. Have you ever been there?

Im an aupair and the girl that worked for the family was called oxana, was about your age and from the ukraine. oh yea and now she is studying...very coincidental.

She may be Russian but she didn't say so. The fact that she put down Russian as her native language is not really conclusive since that's the case with a lot of people not only from Ukraine but from other former Soviet republics as well.
