Hi,
I've moved over from the UK 4 weeks ago and am finding it hard to find work. I need to get health cover (I guess, not sure if my E111 covers anything - I've stopped paying tax in the UK?) and I'm not sure how to go about it or what cover I can get.
I have pre-existing conditions, which I know will bump up my premium and I'm getting worried my money is going to be eaten up with payments each month.
what do you advise?
thanks!

The E111 (which in fact no longer exists, but I presume you mean the European Health Insurance Card which has replaced it) is intended to cover you for emergency conditions while travelling for up to 3 months and not for pre-existing conditions, but it is easy to abuse. You may find a local doctor to treat you under EHIC conditions, but they would not be obliged to.
