The Jiggers - a Munich-based band

The Jiggers is a Munich-based band. We play a whiskey-soaked mixture of country, rock and Americana music. We have a wide range of influences from Johhny Cash to Son Volt to The Grateful Dead to Chuck Berry. If you see us live, you are guaranteed to have a good time and, just maybe, dance your ass off.

Band members are:

• Jason Serious (lead vocals, rythym guitar) - Jason is from Baltimore, Maryland (Charm City) in the US. He has a healthy appetite for all things Dead but has recently discovered a world of music exists outside and is busy exploring.
  
• Kurt Schneider (backing vocals, lead guitar) - Kurt has played in and around Munich for many many years and is also currently playing with T for Texas.
  
• Klaus Hansert (bass guitar, vocals) - Klaus has played with many different types of bands in Munich including heavy metal, rockabilly and country and western. He also is currently playing with T for Texas.
  
• Christian Chapman (drums, backing vocals) - Christian played for bands in Austin, Texas for over 20 years before relocating to Munich for work. He plays drums so he can sit down while working.
  
• Brad Kaegi (guitar, vocals) - currently living in Atlanta Georgia, Brad also lived in Austin. He will be flying back for upcoming gigs to be emcee and play guitar.

yeah, we had a great time...and be sure to thank your brother for always serving me my drinks first in between sets. always appreciated!

our next show is a private party down in a cave in Austria, but we might have something at the Euro in between.

and berny, this is the first and only cover band i have ever played in...if you like, i'll send you links to some original music we just got done recording at Highline here in Munich. like the Dopes, we play some originals in our sets too.

i'm from Austin Tx., and there aren't really any cover bands there, but here in Munich, that is what most of folks going to see live music want to hear unless you are at Substanz or Orange House, etc...where our originals project plan to be playing soon.

but berny, you should post some of the music you are making since you seem to be keen on promoting local original music.

if it's good, maybe the Jiggers and the Dopes can have a "Berny's Musical Hoot Night"...playing all of your hits.

i realised about 2 years ago that i was never going to be the fabulously indie drummer in a terribly pretentious and critically acclaimed side project of an 80s prog rock legend, so i did the decent thing and decided to drum for my own enjoyment in the privacy of my own home.

Hey Folks,
The Jiggers will be playing their biggest gig yet Friday night at the EuroYouth Hostel . After warming yourselves up on the Wies'n come join us for a late night of whiskey drenched rock n roll. The EuroYouth Hostel is a great venue with a big dancefloor, extensive bar and youthful international crowd situated near the Hauptbahnhof. They've informed us that they are "packed to the rafters" because of Oktoberfest so we expect a good turn out. Hope to see you there.
