Cycling at the Velodrome @ Olympiapark?

Does anyone know if the velodrome at the Olympic park is open year-round for riding? If so, do they offer any track-classes for new riders? I've always wanted to give it a try so I figure now is as good a time as any.

However, I also have a feeling that it's only useable during the November 6 day race.

I thought they dismantled the velodrome, seeing as there wasn't a whole lot of velodromming going on. There was some sort of a convention centre in there last year for the Body Works exhibition.

I think they use it sometimes for cycling, but mostly like Pablo said it's used for events such as the Munich Marathon messe...

The 6 day race (when I saw it) takes place in the Olympiahalle - I think they set up some kind of temporary arrangement - not sure what the actual velodrome is been used for...
