Welcome back, Grinner. smile.gif

I took this one about 8 years ago -- it's Worm's Head, on the Gower Peninsula near Swansea. It was published on the BBC News website a few months ago. Shit quality scan though. rolleyes.gif

Thats odd Allershausen because that same guy tried to sell me one just like that one.

Seriously welcome back Grinner.

Indeed! It is good to have Grinner back on board!

ohmy.gif There's something that looks exactly like that in the Vogtland in Saxony. I'll see if I can find a picture. I think it's near Zwickau but not entirely sure.

Edit: Ok, so Zwickau is not Vogtland, but whatever. Saxony/Vogtland/Erzgebirge-- same thing. ph34r.gif

I seem to remember that it was built using huge amounts of asbestos, just knocking it down was a health hazard!

Mandarin Duck near Schleisheim

Wow, what a colourful duck!
Why don't my photos look like that?
stevegus
What are you shooting with?
I got a glimpse of this duck one day and wasn't fast enough with the camera so I went back three more times before I fouind him again.

I use a fairly cheap little Canon digital camera. I bought it because it was small and looked nice - I am a bit clueless when it comes to photography. What are you using?

One of the first Polaroids I ever took ( a 5 dollar Sears and Roebuck Polaroid Pronto). SX-70 with hand manipulation. Wichita Falls TX circa 2003 . It for some reason has stayed as one of my favorite photos I guess it was one of my first taken on the Polaroid format.

I think you just answered your own question! Have a read-through of this:

Considering buying a digital camera?, The number of pixels is meaningless

I'm using a low end DSLR, a Nikon D50 with a Tamron 28-300 mm lens. I got it off of eBay about 7 months ago for about $500.
It has made a big difference in my photography as I now pay way more attention to the details and settings.
