Thursday night drinks is kindly sponsored by Belushi's Bar. Belushi's caters to the English-speaker and local alike, with a extra eye on the expat catching his/her favourite sport. Whether it be a game of NFL, College Ball, GAA, the AFL, or a game of cricket or Football, they have it all. They also have a kitchen with home made burgers and other culinary delights available.

Let's take care of the FAQs all at once...

What time do you usually meet up?
Most people get there between 8-9pm. Some arrive as late as 11. If it's your first time, it's probably easier to arrive at 8:30 - it'll make it easier to find the group.

How do I find the group?
Look for the loud group of English-speaking people. It also helps to look at the profile pictures of people posting in this thread so you know who to look for.

How many people show up?
Anywhere between 5-50 depending on the time of year, etc. Usually it's around 20-30 people though.

How late do you stay out?
Some people go home as early as 9 or 10pm, others stay out as late as 7am sometimes!

How old are the people who go?
Most people are in their 20s and 30s, but everyone is welcome!

Where are the people from that go?
Most people are from English-speaking countries (UK, U.S., Canada, South Africa, Australia, etc.) but a good percentage have English as their second language.

I'm too shy to just show up at a bar without knowing anyone. Should I go?
All of us have gone through the awkwardness of attending our first TT event, so we'll all be welcoming once we know who you are.

That should cover it.

We don't know yet....democratic process has yet to begin (aka someone suggests a place, then someone suggests an alternative and we vote on it....the polls close Wednesday evening, and by Thursday morning we know the venue.) Stay tuned....the more the merrier

Probably tourist central, but anyone know any good places around Potsdamer Platz? Never been there for a drink.

Not sure if I'll be able to make it - but just a heads up re: Potsdamer Platz.

Went into a fairly normal looking cafe there - €5 for a large coffee... so maybe a good bet to stay away!

Not sure about the prices in Potsdamer Platz. We get warned off certain parts of town all the time because they are "touristy" and perceived to be expensive but I've not noticed too much variation in prices (but I mostly drink beer), i've paid 3.50 in F'Hain and P'Berg and that's what I paid in Potsdamer Platz last time I think. However, table service doesn't fit well with TTTND because there's too many of us, we move around too much and we all arrive and leave at different times. My guess is that the bars around Potsdamer Platz will all be table service.

There's a bar on Simon Dach Strasse called "KPTN" which serves cheap drinks and cocktails. It's not very big though

How about back to Nemo?

Hey, has anything been decided re venue?

Strongly advise against Potsdamer Platz. It IS touristy. I know the area pretty well and can't think of a single place that's remotely the sort of place we are looking for.

So the suggestions are Nemo and KPTN. I think we've been to KPTN, if you mean Kptn A. Mueller,

Still, my vote goes to Nemo.

we should hurry...

1) Girl_fred: Nemo.

I feel kinda guilty voting for a place in P'Berg again, but I do suspect KPTN might be too wee
