Yahoo! News: Police prevent planned German, English hooligan brawl

Class C fans. I think I would call them no-class fans. Damn bunch of hooligans.

Hamburg police said on Wednesday authorities had foiled a plan by English and German soccer hooligans to organise a mass brawl late on Tuesday in the city's red light district.

German and British officers specialising in soccer violence had discovered the plan and some 100 Germans and about 150 English, who are in the country for Chelsea's Champions League match against Bremen on Wednesday, were detained.

Ulrike Sweden, a spokeswoman for Hamburg police, told Reuters the men were so-called category C soccer fans, those who pre-arrange fights with rival hooligans.

Better than watching United v Celtic?

Sorry, something doesn't compute here.

Did the police foil the trouble by taking away the Chelsea supporter's handbags, or what?

English football fans run riot in Germany

English football fans rioted in the German city of Cologne overnight on Wednesday ahead of Tottenham's Uefa Cup match against Bayer Leverkusen, police said.

A group of about 80 fans smashed up the interior of a pub, causing damage costing $6 450 and a car was damaged.
Is every soccer fan a hooligan?
Sin
$6,450 damage??? Is THAT all??? I bet they spent 500 times that on beer. Mountains out of molehills. Obviously no real stories around for the journalists to cover. Wait until Millwall qualify for Europe. If they ever draw a German team I'm leaving the hemisphere.

Imagine if Cardiff or even Stoke *spit* ever made it out into Europe ( ok i know its not going to happen) then there really would be trouble.

Lets wait until the Bluebirds get into the premiership (or run out of cash again) first.

The stats for last season are available on the UK Home Office website.

Interesting reading that. Nice to see that my team are making up the majority of alcohol related arrests.
