The choice has not yet been made. Jeez, some politician you would be...
Oh no! I am losing! Best give up now then before I have a chance to rally support!
Now, to start using my new vocabulary that will help me over the coming months - Chill out duuuuuuuude!!
I like band wagons. Especially the won that
U2 used during the Joshua Tree tour for their spontaneous and free concerts. Wagons used by bands... Kewwwwwllllll

Nope, just thought there might have been, at the least, some small discussion before the choice was made and everyone piled on the band wagon...
In fairness the voting is still open as far as I know. As Ed Bob said, it gets set to wherever the majority ask for. Of course that doesn't mean that people aren't free to go absolutely wherever they wish. It's just that previous weeks have descended into a free-for-all with basically every person suggesting their own personal favourite and nobody making a final decision. This gives it a democratic edge and everyone has equal opportunity to get their say in. A clean and clear decision can be made in sufficient time and it can be organised properly.

@ Crawlie: Whereabouts are you thinking of setting up camp? Or do you have the inflateable cactus yet so we can find you easily?
Is it going to be a soccer watching thing or a normal tt tuesday?
cinzia

I could do without the soccer, too, Kza. Don't care about the game and don't want to be in the middle of the scrum trying to get near the screen.

Jun 27 2006, 8:57 am
There are two large screens in the Augustiner. If you are going there early I'd suggest trying to set up shop near the middle of the garden, that way those who want to watch the footie can still see it and those who don't won't be overly bothered by it.
how late yous going to be there?

Actually, this is a good question.
Are there any inflatable thingummys so that people can find you/us?
I mean, I know most folk anyway, but t'would be easier - specially for newbs - if there's some kind of distinguishing feature. I thought you had a

Just to repeat what SmugLarz asked, what is the best way to get there from the U or S Bahns? I remember walking there from the Hauptbahnhof and it wasnt that close, is Hackerbrücke better? Anyone got some primo directions?
Keydeck
Jun 27 2006, 10:46 am
I go via Hauptbahnhof and take the tram up Arnulfstr or just walk. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Hbf.

Hackerbrücke is deffo nearer than HBF
Or take the tram 16/17 (Richtung: Romanplatz or Amalienburgstr) from HBF or HBF Nord three (or two from HBF Nord) stops up to Hackerbrücke, then you're even nearer. You'll go past the beergarden in the tram (on your right as you're coming from town), so just walk back, turn into the first little road on your left (Zirkus-Krone-Str) and the back entrance to the beer garden is there on the right about 50 yards up. Sorted.

Jun 27 2006, 11:01 am
Well Hackerbrücke is just off Keydeck's pic to the left. So if you're already on the S-Bahn I'd say get off there, walk north down off the bridge, turn right and bingo.

Depends on when folk leave work - it may not have passed for some of us.
Downstairs is an option but no mobile signals if that's important to some.
The Augustiner Bräustube could be another option in the area.
