Usually there will be someone sat at the well who will give out tokens for the 1st 20 people there, and they only count during happy hour.

Is there a particular place we normally sit at / take over? Maybe on the row of tables by the side, up towards the well?
Looking forward to a good old fish'n'chips... or will it be battered sausage and chips... mmm... decisions

Basically head towards the well, and sit around the part of the well facing the bar, and you will soon meet the Toytowner's !

Actually - I may now be staying a bit later than I thought, so maybe I will see more people than just the GM staff.

This has been at the back of my mind too, but then we miss out on our free drink

and also others won't find us if they don't see any posts after now... trouble is, there aren't any immediately nearby so that we can watch for people arriving and grab them...
By 7pm I think it will be quite chilly anyway tbh...

@Drivin' West - good idea, but I think it's a little early on the year for that - the sun will go down (no, I know, don't let the sun go down on me, but it will, so there you go) at about 6, and it will then regress to about 5 degrees - now, if you have some NASA designed thermal gear we can wear, I'm with you - otherwise I'll do GMs tonight, and a beer garden once it's a little warmer at night.

Change of mind, we're going to Chinesischer Turm in about 10 minutes... will be there from about 16:45... if anyone wants to meet us we'll be outside somewhere, sipping maßes of beer

Call me on 0179 730 9006 if you want to meet up once we're there!
We'll be there till about 6 or so and then go to GM's.
See you later!

A bit of beergratening before GMs is a marvelous idea, but this has been quite an alcoholic week with St Patrick and all that. Next week I, and probably a few others will be far more receptive.
And I like the Chinesischer Turm. Many don't, but it is convenient, and you can always, always get a table. Try the Seehaus for comparison on a sunny Friday afternoon.

Nice to meet people last night... we might end up in there again tonight as an Irish friend is in Munchkinland at the moment so we'll see...
Gotta love this weather - I'd love it even more if I was outside! ChTurm yesterday afternoon was fantastic...

To start everybody off, there's a bar on Bismarkstr, 33 bus towards
Muenchner Freiheit called
H2O, there's inside and oustise parts to it, so if it's nice outside we go, and i think there's standing room too, not just tables.
If anybody else has suggestions, go right ahead and air them...
Keydeck
Mar 18 2004, 9:05 am
I'd suggest one that I checked out the other day. It's called
Leo's Lounge and is on
Rosenheimerstr. Good big bar area and a fairly open space while still maintaining a good atmosphere. Lots of food options too. Anyone else know it?
I think
H2O might be a bit cramped Dave, given what happened in
Cafe am Nordbad, but I'm easy.

Mar 18 2004, 9:15 am

Yes, I know Leo's Lounge, used to take lunch there quite often while I was working in the Kustermannpark offices. Never been there at night, though. Nonetheless, a cool location and I'd certainly be game to go there on Tuesday.

what happened to the Cafe am Nordbad. I wasn't there the last time but according to the comments here and to what I heard from talking to people many liked it.
maybe we should have a poll?

Mar 21 2004, 8:43 pm
It was enjoyable, but it was quite cramped for the amount of people there. Also, the idea is to try different places, not just go to the same spots.
If there are no objections then I'll book some space in either Mango's or
Leo's Lounge for Tuesday evening from whatever time people fancy going out. I'll make the reservation tomorrow, so if anyone wants something else then just let it be known.

You know, I'm a loyal Murphy's patron and all but given the showing at Cafe Am Nordbad I'm beginning to think there are some TTers who'd rather expand our outings elsewhere. Anyone willing to admit it?
With the weather improving and sunset getting later and later, I propose moving the Tuesday gathering to a biergarten (assuming weather is good). Any interest?
Alas, this Tuesday I'm going to se The String Cheese Incident and won't be in attendance.

The salads and pasta are excellent in there, don't have the gambas in wild garlic butter as they are baby tiny shrimps not gambas. I am picky, I know!
They also have a selection of cocktails with risqué names which will probably suit...
I'm off sick today with flu so I don't think that I will make it but I am sure that a great time will be had by all.
