i thought i did that, then someone said my suggestion would be used later on in the week, but i didn't wanna be a whiner & say so what if people are meeting there again on thursday. i ain't. then i offered to be at the augustiner @ 6 to secure some benches, but wah wah wah wah, it's raining so i ain't going.

lol looks like Augustiner dropped out, for anyone unsure it now appears Venues are Radlwirt beergarden Balanstr from 6 onwards and Kilians at the Dom from 8 onwards, even better do both

bluedave, is the beer garden in front of the restaurant or does one go through the restaurant to a courtyard in the back?

It appears the Augustiner-Keller location has been hijacked more than once in this thread, so I won't be going there. Might pop into Kilian's on the way home though (7pm-ish).

Was cool to meet Cinzia again especially accompanied by the beautiful Aliza ( sp ? ) who was fascinated by TBFB, beer cool conversation better and a nice way to start my week

I don't know that I can make it as I have a previous obligation (unless I can swing by late)...so my opinion doesn't count for much. But my two-cents worth...GM's is fine by me.

At far as i remember, Keydeck said 20 beers are free to TTers before 7pm at GM's.

That swings it for me.

I'll be swinging by GMs if my working day permits, although it most certainly won't be before 8pm for me.

Yes, those free beers are available. Make sure to mention to the Innkeeper that you are with the Toytown Tuesday group...even if you've not located them at that point.

Don't be shy. There are always new people coming along for the Tuesday drinks and you will be made welcome. So come along, make your presence felt and make some new friends. Or at the very least identify some people who you don't want to become friends with, process of elimination and all that.

Note: It was pointed out in an earlier thread that you should refer to the male barstaff at GMs as Innkeeper. For example, "Eh excuse me good Innkeeper, may we have the roast pig, a loaf of bread and two pints of your second finest ale". They love that stuff in GMs.

Don't forget to pop your name onto the Sign-Up sheet if you're coming along.

If for no other reason that it encourages people who may be sitting on the fence to take the plunge if they see a good number already signed up.

Note: The above only works if the fence in question is situated beside a lake or other suitable body of water.

Why not jump in there and suggest somewhere yourself. Read the guidelines as to the kind of place which is suitable and just give it a shot. Suggesting Arc or GMs is a cop-out by the way. Fine as they've both been proven on many an occasion as grand for a Tuesday, but still a cop-out

Tonight might be a good time for Zur Bretzn or other such places if people want to avoid the football. England play Hungary tonight so I'll be at The Arc to watch that.

Cafe am der Uni it is! I will make the reservation this afternoon for 7pm. The address for CADU is Ludwigstrasse 41 and it is a two minute walk from the Universitat U-bahn stop (U3/U6)...so not wanting to go out in the rain is no excuse for absences

CADU's cool. Was there only the other night and had a great time. Nice place for a change from the norm.

I've made a reservation for 10 people at CADU for 7:30. The reservation is under 'Toytown'. As I said earlier, I can't make it until 9ish, so hopefully some of you will still be there!

Sure looks pretty quiet round these here parts.

I haven't signed up because I'm still kind of on the fence.

And I'm waiting to see if a friend wants to come along, too.
