Die Bank is really close to where I used to live. It's really nice, not pretentious and really nicely decorated. It's cheap, too.

I don't know about a large group cos there are lots and lots of little tables so you'd all have to stand or split up? Might have changed since i was last there. Also, make sure you check to see if there is anything on there, cos sometimes they have poetry readings and stuff so you all have to be quiet... Not so suitable for TT Tuesday drinks then...
Lovely place though.

we've been to Die Bank on GBV nights-out before, and it's fine for a big group. we just took over the whole of the front section, basically.
aren't the poetry readings and such upstairs in that arty-farty room they've got up there?

well I just tried ringing them and got no answer - then I saw that they are not open now until 5pm tomorrow, so i guess there won't be anyone there who we can ask until about 4pm tomorrow
i really can't imagine, though, that they would take over the whole place with a chuffing poetry reading - that's what the room upstairs is for, after all
downstairs is for drinking and disco-dancing

Hey - I'm new here and interested to coming to one of these things on a Tuesday night (prolly not tonight tho). How many people usually show up to hang out? I'm 22, from America doing an internship, and been here for a week; would really like to meet some people in this town and drink some German beer regularly. Please give a newbie some info and how to meet up with you guys on a Tuesday night.

Well anyway welcome and just come on out. I think next week it is at
The Arc or maybe GMs. You are right I dont care. As for tonight, it still depends ...I want to. Trying to get a hold of someone first. Although I have had three pints already so it makes the zug ride so much smoother.

Nighteye, i also suggest checking out the curry night to meet new peeps. my favorite part of
curry night is after the curry, when we drink a few back in a smaller group. good way to meet people.
good luck.
Oh are people only turning up at 8pm? Hmm could be a bit late for me.
