I might call in for something non-alcoholic on my way home from work.

I will be there at around 7:30. See you later.

@keydeck
Wow! even if you suggest a place out in the woods (e.g. Westend) and plus you maybe not even attend,
you just have to give a shout and the peeps just follow you without a single mumble. That´s magic!
Probably you a modern version of the “Rattenfänger von Hameln??

Oct 11 2005, 12:27 pm
No offense meant of course, but it was more the €2.20 beer I was following. Keydeck is just a really nice added bonus

Oct 11 2005, 12:28 pm
If Westend is out in the woods then I'll correct my post to read "I'll calll in for something on my way off-planet" seeing as I live in TAEON.

I wont be following!
Doesnt sound like a very inspiring place

The place appears to be directly on my way home from work, so I'll pop in around 7pmish.

Just been over for a quick reccie and to grab a plot.
Other infos:
From 19:00-00:00 cocktails are €4. (it says 'Außer fancies', so depends on what they consider fancy really)
From 17:00-19:00 all burgers are €5.00 (normally €7.60 for double bacon n' cheese)
Tuesdays & Thursday it's €3.50 for long drinks.
Most dishes range from €5 to about €8 with steaks knocking in around €11.
As usual, it's an open invitation to newbies, oldies and everyone in between. Please post if you're gonna come along as I said I'd ring them in the afternoon to give the guy an idea of how many people. Mostly because he doesn't have a clue what a TT onslaught might be like and I wanna warn him to get the taps flowing.
Rus, sorry for the lack of inspiration.

€4.00 cocktails, €3.50 long drinks and €2.20 beers? That is the definition of inspiration.

Rus, sorry for the lack of inspiration.
You maybe responsible for a lot of things that happen in Munich but I dont think I can hold you responsible for American Cuisine
Keydeck
Oct 11 2005, 1:00 pm
Ah but it's cooked by an Indian (and not the be-feathered type either). Loads of room there for interpretation.

Just a little reminder for anyone else who fancies coming along this evening.
I've told him there'll be about 15 to 20 peeps but there should be no problem if more come.
Keydeck
Oct 11 2005, 10:50 pm
That was fun. As I left I think there were about 20 people getting happily sozzled. Granted we were the only people in the bar but that doesn't seem to have detracted from the evening. Once we stopped the country & western vibe from encroaching it was all good.

So, Rus found some inspiration, Grinner's still wearing those shoes, Chicago Express probably need to invest in a few more Maß glasses, a plate of chips is massive and country music sucks & Dirty Dancing is not much better (but fun).
Maria (I think) is one of the more bizarre 'journos' I've ever met.
"
I'd like to ask you a few questions about the Schrannenhalle"
"I haven't actually been there yet."
"
That's ok, but what do you think of it?"
Oh and even sober I still have big problems with that "Munich Found" magazine. Grumble, whinge, moan.
At least the boys picked up a new tip for chasing women. Just go out with a camera, a notebook and a few inane questions. Get photos, phone numbers and you're in business.

I give thumbs up to this place. Keydeck was right about the burgers! I did also find it unusual that a pub in Munich only had a few Mas glasses. I enjoyed the country music, dirty dancing soundtrack and there was even some "Funky Cold Medina!" The bartender/DJ was really smiling when we we singing "Friends in Low Places!" And yes Keydeck knew the lyrics! Great fun and I am so glad I am working from home today as I did not make it back out to Augburg until 0230 (damn Orient Express was late)
