...)
Still not tooo sure witch tent we are going to invade???

The place Paddie mentioned -Schützenfestzelt- it's not one of the Big Tents, or is it???

We can play it by ear a bit. I'd suggest we meet up at the U-Bahn (5:30ish???) and then head there. If it's full, we can go somewhere else. Schützenfestzelt is one of the medium-sized tents (5400 seats), but it definitely has a small tent feel, which is why the parties there rock

Alright, for all TT Wiesn goers, meet-up at 5:30 PM U bahn Theresienwiese, as always. If anyone needs a cell phone number to get in touch, give me a shout. Also, if anyone is volunteering for grabbing a table early, preferably at Schützenfestzelt please also scream "here"

I'm back from London and reeeally want to hit the Wies'n, so I'm there for the 5:30 meetup. However might stop by Pschorr Keller later.

We may have to choose another tent this evening other than the Schützenfestzelt. A buddy of mine was there last night and said it's difficult to get a seat after 4 pm because it's very popular with the Munich companies. During the week, many if not most of the tables are reserved.
Anyway, again, anyone who can be anywhere early and hold seats / a table, yell HEEERE!

ok...so who's all going to show up to the non-Wies'n event? Just curious...

I was at the Schützenfestzelt last week and it definitely was the local Munich crowd. The only reason we found a seat was because a group never showed up for their reservation and we were able to snag it. The vibe inside was great, and the music was fun. Let's check it out at 5:30, if we can't find a bench, we head elsewhere.
Wiesn... WORKDAY... naaa.. would store the rage and rave for the weekend.
So, to avoid adding to the confusion,
Where are the NON WIESN group meeting up?? City center? (usual irish pubs..etc) or some other place?
address? link to the webpage...
I am sure ANTHONY would be there (he is the omnipresento!!)
Jay...you back from your SUN TAN SPAIN trip as yet?
EjKANTOR, Borracuda, Jordon...here goes!! Dont ever complain that I aint a REGULAR!!

Was a great party last night at Löwenbräu - thanks to Mariana for snagging the table, to streeme for keeping the Italians at bay, and to those two cute German guys who kept trying to kiss me...really, thanks to the both of you too.
And did I mention that I got a phone call this morning from someone named Raoul? What in the hell?
Anyhoo, good times.

Absolutely, the place rocked, the party rocked (without getting too excessive --> okay, apart from the glass-breaking and the on-going party fouls at the neighboring tables

Good fun was had in the Pschorr Keller too.
The new Pschorr Keller is the puppies privates. Super place! They re-opened on the 16th of this month. Interior is large, on a couple of levels and very nicely decorated. They've got hops hanging from the ceiling, a real olive tree by the bar area and a sort of house construction with walkways along one wall. In the middle of the main room is an old copper brewing vat. Will take some photos this weekend.
A 0.5L Helles is knocking in at €2.70.
Toilets are downstairs and are absolutely enormous. The room that is, not the toilets themselves. I counted 28 urinals!
After Oktoberfest closes they'll be opening a couple of new restaurants too. Italian and Asian I think.
At the moment they have an After-Wiesn party which gets kicking at about 10pm.
I shall be becoming a regular customer of the place without a shadow of a doubt.

So is everybody all Wiesned-out or is anybody up for Tuesday drinks? Maybe a cocktail bar would be a nice refreshing change from beer...

I was hoping someone would suggest Cafe Blue!

Reservation is under Toytown from 6:30 pm, the area with the bar chairs on the left side of the restaurant as usual. Any early birds out there ?
@keydeck dear, I already had the number, I thought of the link on TT with the photos and the U-Bahn stop ect. I´m too stupid to put it in.

Most people come around 8pm or after, but I always suggest starting the event around 6:30 or 7pm so that some people can go there straight from work (like me).

You could head over and try out
Chicago Express BBQ.
Nice food, good music and beers at €2.20. You can't really go wrong (famous last words)
If there is interest I'd strongly suggest making a reservation to secure some space. It most likely won't be busy but better safe than sorry.

I'd be up for trying it out, although I'm almost positive I'd get lost since that area of town is pretty foreign to me. Are we pretty sure either the 53 or the 133 Bus goes that way (that's my line from Rotkreuzplatz/Neuhausen)?

Walk down Trappentreustr. (sp?) in the direction of Donnersbergerbrücke. Go down Westendstr. on your right.
Keydeck
Oct 11 2005, 11:58 am
From Heimeranplatz just walk down Trappentreustr and turn right onto Westendstr and it's just there on your right hand side.
If coming from the direction of town, exit at the back of the u-banana platform.
Beaten to the pop. My powers are fading.
Am gonna nip over there now and if they're open I'll ask him to set some space aside.

Keydeck
Oct 11 2005, 12:02 pm
Not necessarily, just doing a bit of public service. Might pop along for a while though. Will see how the day pans out.
Live over by Westendstr u-bahn, so only about 10 or 15 minutes walk from my place.
