there maybe dragons on this side but they are friendly and are magic and are called Puff.

TT Tuesday hardly ever comes this side.

I think it is about time.

I like the recommendation OG, and I will come if it is held there. A great location and a short ride on the U4/U5 one stop past Sitar!

Yeah this is true. Perhaps we will swing by after our German test to drown our sorrows and take on some dragons...
PUFF, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honah Lee,
Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal PUFF,
and brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff.
(sea =
Isar and fancy stuff = beer in this scenario...and Owain I suppose you can be Jackie Paper)

yes, i do apologise for having the audacity to suggest anywhere else than an Irish or other ex-pat bar.

I actually liked the atmosphere there and, since I drank wine, wasn't part of the whole Bottled Beer Revolution.
Does Hofbräu qualify as expat though? yeah, maybe...

May 17 2005, 1:01 pm
well there's a little bar in the beergarden serving Sausolitos, as far as my old mind remembers...
so in theory even the cocktail-lovers would be catered for (and can chuck their tequilas at the dragons for special fire effects)
Hey, hey I wasnt putting off the HBH. Just lamenting that I couldnt go. I've never been there but its on my list of places to check out. Also I hear they got really good Fanta.

PS: I agree...more events on this side of town though.
PPS: Butterbean, I told you I'm in training.

OK, the usual "indecision through democracy" seems to be happening
I suggest that, unless 3 lions plans otherwise in the next hour, we fix it on Max-Weber Platz Hofbräukeller from 6pm. I'll be at either place with bells on

i think the HB keller is a better choice than the HB haus -- lots more room, lots less english, and the sausalitos kiosk. good choice! and since i have the day off today ( *gasp!* ) i'll even be able to make it!

i shall be turning upa round 8:30pm because of touch. Shall i reserve a table? How many Schwabinger are going to make it to Dragondale?

if i remember correctly Katrina started off the whole dragon thing by arguing that no-one dare venture across the river to
Haidhausen,
Au or Bogenhausen because "there be Dragons over there". Hence, east of the River has now been dubbed (my me at least) "Dragondale".
ParrotHead
May 17 2005, 2:05 pm
I'll be there whenever I am able to escape from work.
Crawlie
May 17 2005, 2:24 pm
There are dragons in Bogenhausen. I see them regularly. Especially after Toytown events. Big nasty things that chase me and force me to play chess with them. (the dragons, not the Toytown events...)

brokenm

I'll be there around eight. Have to represent (but I am from the other side of the moat).

curry night tomorrow

I don't think I'll make it tonight - I'm scared of dragons anyway

.

Lindsey: Not sure about tonight if Eric can't get a mascot organised

Maybe just watch out for the circling dragons?
For tomorrow, maybe check out some of Kebab Meister's pics from last week? It ought to be easier to find such a group in a restaurant anyway.

Not when HK is around I guess

. But I'm afraid I still won't be able to make it tonight.
Owain are you wearing a red shirt today? Lindsey...thats usually my marker. There are surpringly very few brown haired boys wearing red shirts when I go out on the town...quite useful really. Then just move in to see if he's speaking English or Welsh.

For the newbies: First time I went to a TT event I walked slowly around the groups of people listenning for english. Then I just asked them if they were TTers. Worked out fine. If it's GM's,
The Arc, or TB, just ask the waiter or bar staff, they all know us. You can also scroll through the gallery. It doesn't have names but you may recognize faces. Or there is also thread where people have posted pictures for newbies to recognize us.
Don't look for my pic though because I can't make it tonight. Nothing to do with dragons just tired from the weekend.

Indeed, for the newbies.
It was difficult enough for me to sort out this thread, but for newbies, I doubt they'd comprehend what's happening. We should always clearly post the place and a time.
Let's see if I've got the essence:
The TT Tuesday this week is at the
HB Keller.
Inside if it's raining, otherwise outside?
I'll try to make it, probably between 7 and 7:30pm.

I would say stay inside this time. Not the nicest weather and will get quite chilly later. Reserving might be a good idea but i plan to get there for about 7 anyway. I will also be wearing a red top (either wales or england depending on which is clean) - @OG + Schotte yeah yeah i know -

i have booked (still waiting for the confirmation eMail, though) a table for 7pm. I have asked them to look out for any suspicious looking Hamsters wearing red shirts and to arrest them on sight and lock them in the cellar where they keep the EMPTY barrels until he decides which he is: Welsh (yeah) or English ( naah)?

I had my first white weine schorle (sucks) and i got kicked out of my first club in munich (bad rotten behaviour). On the plus side, Tom17 has sparky shoes...literally...they make little fire flashes when he runs.

Wow that was quick posting...Tom17 does indeed have sparky shoes...they literally spark as he runs...and yes...getting kicked out of a 'club' in München...not quite a club...but hey...we were made to feel less than what we were (because we laughed).
Thanks to Molly's for being there... Weiß Wein Schorle is much better than that normally...that was like bad distilled water...I am sorry you had to go through that...so about my birthday...

Come on people. Full story here please, simply for the purpose of the objective documentation of Munich hostelries and clubs of course. And none of that laughing or sparky shoe stuff, it adds far too much of a human touch. And certainly no being too young. Sheesh.
