We're going to do a special German Beer night tomorrow. We'll get a few of the smaller, popular beers for one night only.

Stuff like Andechs, Tegernsee, etc.

Gonna get the beer today and then I'll post more details

5 different types:

Andechs Spezial Helles
Tegernsee Spezial Helles
Schneider Weissbier
Erdinger Weissbier
Kneissl Maisacher Dark Beer.

All these beers will cost 3,20 each

I haven't been to Tuesday Drinks more than once or twice but would like to join this evening.

Might come down as well...if ATU changes my tyres without hazzle...what time y'all gonna be down there?

Interesting DW. Where I come we say "I'm going to punch (you) in the nuts." We also say "Im gonna kick (you) in the balls or nuts" but really, we would never say "Im going to punch you in the balls" (or punch you in the ass for that matter) just sounds wrong. IMHO only.

Note: We was poor though so maybe our text books were out of date.

Scuffle!? Not before 2300 when I left. It was a good time as far as I'm concerned. There also seemed to be a few new folks (always a good thing) but didn't get around to meeting them.

Scuffles? And certainly not before 1am when I left. Know nothing about that. Although I know relatively little about what happened after 12 anyway.

Never mix your beers folks. It makes your brain melt...

Never stay till 4am when you have a 10:15am Vorbesprechung in Garching... which I missed... eff... Hopefully I can still do the Praktikum!

I thought it was overall a good night, good crowd, good beers, just a little tension towards the end but nothing too bad, not really worth talking about that.

Well, from what I saw it really wasn't a reason to quit a job...
Was there something bigger that went on with him??? Seriously, it was just a miscommunication as far as I could see.

One of the downsides of working in the customer service industry IMPO.

i think he had a reason to be upset with some people, but it should have been resolved in the morning.. not the night when everone was wasted!

It would be a bloody shame for Hazza (and everyone else) if The Arc ended up appearing on this thread.
Maybe I've just been lucky or blind (drunk), but I've never seen much hassle in Munich bars. Until recently.
I can understand Hazza why you don't want to go into the exact details but maybe this thread could shame (without naming) the person(s) concerned into sorting themselves out or show their friends that such behaviour (whatever and whoever it was, I seriously don't know) is bang out of order. Big maybe mind.
We all do stupid stuff after too many beers (you should see some of my exes) but it can go too far and making a member of bar staff feel like leaving their job is too far.

I like that. Because the phrase "certain people" and "some people" seems to be popping up a little too much lately. You seem to be referring to the same group over and over again. The ones who don't tag along with you.

As for last night, I'm pretty sure it was all a misunderstanding. And I'm sure the "Some people" in question have settled the issue last night as was appropriate to do so then. Seemed settled when "some people" left the bar.

I think it was more a misunderstanding - obviously caused by too much alcohol as well. It escalated. He apologised to Mike, but it appeared too late...

My thought is that people sometimes talk to him like they're talking to me. They know me well and know they can give me shit and I'll just give it back. Lines sometimes get blurred and they'll talk to Mike the same way. He probably hardly knows them and it can come across as disrespectful...

Damn, looks like I missed some action.

maybe this should be dropped as mike isnt here to defend himself... lets leave it as a big misunderstanding... and only the people directly involved should chat with each other or just drop it.

@Katrina: I know what you mean, but it wasn't any kind of physical confrontation (at least from what I saw...).

To me, it appeared that it was a just misunderstanding deep in a night of drinking. Nothing worth talking about for 2 or 3 pages on the TT Tuesday thread. I hope it gets cleared up and that there are no hard feelings between Mike and the guy (who actually is a good guy) (I'm sure it will), and that Mike stays around at The Arc.
