So who's gonna be at the arc tonight? Come on, I know that more than 4 people will be there. I should be there around 8!

Since it's around the corner, I'll probably pop in. But will leave early-ish.

I'll pop in later, will meet countrygirl there so I guess she's coming too!

I get off work at the 2:00, so I might pop over with our bar man Johnny after we close shop.

I will pop in for a quick one.

I'm considering going to see "Bad Santa" at the Mathäser so dunno.

Not for me tonight. Too much to do and not enough time.

I am thinking about it but not sure yet. If i do go it won't be until about 9

@Judders it's piss easy, mate.

Take the 27 tram from Karlsplatz towards Peteulring.
Get off 6 minutes later at "schellingstrasse".
Cross the road and head in the same direction the tram is going, i.e. North.
Go about 1.5 blocks.
Then turn left
Turn right at the next corner which is already Schraudolphstrasse
the arc is right there, on the right hand side in the cellar.

If you come from U-Bahn Universitat, go down Schellingstrasse until you hit Schraudolphstrasse (about 4-5 blocks). Take a right and keep going til you hit the Arc (2 blocks).

this place was recommended by a colleague, so would like to try it out.

yeah, according to EditorBob's post it is at one of the "standard" pubs every 2nd week (GMs, Arc, Twisted) then something free in between, at least roughly:


but hey, the Weihnachtsmarkt closes at 8 anyway so Twisted can nurse our sugar overdoses from all that Glühwein after 8pm.

Tollwood can be the alternative TT Tuesday, as it closes much later (11pm?). Meeting people at the Christmas markets will be a nightmare though, more something for smaller groups than a TT event.

We were supposed to go to Twisted the last time, but we couldnt as they had their 'Monster' in the cellar, so it was switched to Molly's. We said that twisted would wait till the next time.

Cool, I vote for twisted as loads of TTers haven't been yet, and Tollwood would be horrendous for finding each other (newbies wouldn't have a hope).

And I'll be starving after German class. Plus I believe that Twisted has a different menu that week as well?

No JB, I'm a Tue/Thu German Classes person.

bubblylady: I think the point of leaving the third Tuesday opn to suggestion and concensus was to keep some variety there. Think "Curry Night". TTB already has regular TT events (Sunday Brunch, Stich & Bitch, something else I'm forgetting).

Wonderul as the place may be (and that's all I've heard so far), there are a lot of places in Munich and it's nice to go somewhere else now and again. I wish I was going for curry tonight but I have a cold.

I agree with BD, we should have occasionally an open Tuesday to try somewhere new ! or for special's, like Tollwood coming up.

yep same here, I like to go to new places so once in a while. Twisted bavarian is a nice place (and yes, i've been there) and nothing wrong with going there one thuesday, but i don't think one should make it a regular event.

Tolwood is a bad choice since it's not suited for a large group of people to mingle, you just get spread out over the place.

yeah, a bit of variety is good. look at how packed molly's was compared with a normal tuesday at murphy's or the arc
l like both of those 2 bars but quite often l hear people say 'oh god, not murphy's again' etc etc
munich has some great bars, i don't think we should restrict ourselves just for the sake of it

Now theres a nice little christmas market in Haidhausen, plus lots of good bars to choose from after when everyones tootsies are cold.

Does anyone know whether the TT Tuesday Drinks night has fixed a venue yet ? The link says that it might be the Twisted Bavarian (I hope it is) but that this is not yet confirmed.

tengstr. 20...sign says savoy (so u dont get lost)...also everyont must try Jugens burritos, especially Amber's special BLT Burrito...it is the best EVER!!! Its new on the menu and to die for

I'll be along about 9pm. Aparrantly the BLT Burrito is pretty good!

I will be there and should be bringing 2 more new english people (currently not tt'ers) to meet everyone + yes BLT Burrito is excellent (inc. good bacon)!
