@Jimbo I went to the 8 seasons once. i also thought it was a silly name, but on their flyer it explains why.. they are only open for 2 years (hence the 8 seasons) and then they are closing. apparently. if i remember correctly.

8 seasons has a lot of hot bartenders...but from what I recall...most of them are male. If you want to see playboy models had fun...then they are there on "Bulb Club" nites, which is a mix night of straights and gays.

Guys,
I cant make it this week. Does someone want to suggest a good central location which is also good for wet weather? (unless you wanna try building some
beer garden shelters)
Location should be suitable for people at arrive anytime between 1800 - 2100.

To give the place as much publicity as it needs in the first couple of months, I suggest
The Arc.
Plus they serve Augustiner, which is always good.

I will third it! Jimbo and I missed out on the weekends shennanigans unfortunately so are keen to get down there and offer our support. Sounds like we missed a really cool weekend. Well done Harry, glad to see you survived your first weekend without too many hiccups!
Quick question...will there be food on tomorrow?

He'll be fine as long as Harry doesnt run out of chicken wings

@3L - what, the British-style chili (cough) isn't a permanent menu item???
probably more meat on a chicken wing than on the mini-pup I'm afraid...
@BL - excellent! I believe the mini-pup will approve of this policy.

Booooo, me is ill again. Feel like I am swallowing razor blades just now, and head is starting to disassociate itself from the rest of me. Not sure if I will be able to come tonight now afterall - jammies, hot water bottle and bed required. Bloody sickness...grrr...its rubbish.

yeah but (no offence to Hazza and I rrereeeeeeeeaaaaalllly enjoyed saturday night) I'm not keen on getting "stuck" in one place, although apparently the TT tuesday has always been in GM's in winter until now...
Doesn't matter to me though, the Arc is easy enough to reach and we can all show off our freshly procured Dirndls

No offense taken.
I wouldn't expect everyone to want to hang out in the same bar all the time anyway.
We need to be able to survive and attract people outside of TT in any case - but of course it's nice to have you guys come along...

Hi, I'm a newbieish in that been on website for a few months but never been to an event as yet, reckon I'm feeling brave enough now...what time do things usually get going on a Tuesday night?
JoolyBooly
Aug 30 2004, 1:03 pm
oh, by 8 there'll be a few people propping up the bar (usually 5-10), by 9 you're guaranteed action! (usually 10-20)

nah, in the Arc it is pretty clear who we are, it's not a big place and we're a big, noisy bunch (and the man who owns the bar is one of us!).. you'd have to try hard to miss us...
although looking at your details your nearest city is Paris?! In which case you could indeed have trouble finding us...

BYOB - Picnic in Garden?
What do you folks say to planning a candlelight picnic for next Tuesday's drinks evening? We can meet where the rugby practices and drop blankets and BYOB (wine bottles, beer, vodka citron for steve...). Then, I'll lead a 10k training run north and back down the English garden (for those doing the 10k Sept. 12) and the rugby folks can practice. Around 8 or so, we can set up camp near the lake and have a picnic.
If it rains or is too cold, we can go to old standby GM.
Any takers?
