I take it she doesn't work?
No fair, I want to repeat last week's holiday! The sun is out now, I want my money back!

I can bring a green inflatable guitar (Is that okay 3 Lions?

), but I probably won't make it to Chinese tower before 8/8.30pm

Jul 20 2004, 2:08 pm
@PJ
It's your guitar, I think your bruised knees wont mind
photojenny
Jul 20 2004, 2:11 pm
Okay, so all newbies coming after 8/8.30pm tonight watch out for the green inflatable guitar to find the TT crowd!
@ 3 Lions No, I'm not gonna play tonight
Badger
Jul 20 2004, 2:23 pm
The blue guitar is currently in my possession (well, keydeck's, but it's here with me). my plan is to look at the public transport maps VERY VERY hard to see if I can't make it somehow, bit bored anyway. But I can't walk across all of Englischer Garten, so we'll see. Let you know if I find a way.

Jul 20 2004, 2:23 pm
You playing tonight Badger?? The running might increase the blood flow through your knee and hence, (with loud drum roll) make your knee heal quicker. Reeeealllyy?

All my knee is able to do (still is) - "ok, flex it - careful! Ok, another two degrees - okay, great! you're currently flexing it 60 degrees!" - "Yaeh, and it f**ing hurts!"
So maybe I'll wait till next week before I play.

Both bus 54 and 154 go through the English Garden, leaving you a short hobble away.
bee_sting
Jul 20 2004, 2:29 pm
Badger - but you can get the 54 bus from MF to the chinese tower if you can make it to the u-bahn. As for Kendy, she is awol, but she was trying to drag me along in two weeks time, so I think she is signed up for next week.
JoolyBooly
Jul 20 2004, 2:34 pm
bee sting are you playing rugby (please say yes, please say yes...)
and Badger, come along! From the 54 bus it's really not far, we could try to get a table north of the tower (towards the car park), then it's even closer... and hey, all those strapping rugby players can carry you back to the bus on the way home!
Badger
Jul 20 2004, 2:35 pm
Cool. So those who do NOT play rugby - when do they meet? Presumably not as late as 8.30h. Just so I don't turn up at seven and no one is there...

@SK04
i just like it when there's room for improvement
JoolyBooly
Jul 20 2004, 4:33 pm
crikey, I dread to think what SK04's going to say about my play tomorrow! It's all untrue, I tell you!
And voluntary, too... dropping out through sulking very possible!

Jul 20 2004, 4:36 pm
JoolyBooly - no, no, no. See how strong you have to be with SK04? But don't worry, I'm sure that I am the one missing all the fun.

in the north of
Schwabing it has just started raining...so where are we gonna go for our drinks if it doesn't stop raining?!
Murphy's?!
3 Lions
Jul 20 2004, 4:58 pm
Murphy's is the TT reserve choice in case of rain, but I have things to do tonight, so wont make it for the drinks.
Badger
Jul 20 2004, 5:05 pm
Och, I don't like Murphy's.

@ 3 Lions - At the moment I don't like any pub with lots of steps and mostly standing room.

Jul 20 2004, 5:16 pm
This sucks. where is summer?!
anyway,
1) mud is softer to fall on than dry ground
2) Pootle is already there and he fixed Günthers as a back-up, so it's too late to change!

Jul 20 2004, 5:16 pm
Not looking good. The blue/purple stuff is coming from the Frogs and heading directly our way.
JoolyBooly
Jul 20 2004, 5:18 pm
Bloody frogs! It's alright for them, they can swim!
Oh well.
I just spoke to Pootle and it's definately Günthers, the rugby players ahve already planned it in so there's not turning back.
Sorry Badger!
ah well, at least the rain gives me a good excuse to go to GM tonight. I'll probably be there around 8ish or so.

Tough sh*t for me then, I guess. Gunthers is too difficult for my leg. Ah well. At least I'm not missing a nice beergarden outing. Next time. Y'all have fun!

Jul 20 2004, 5:23 pm

Jul 20 2004, 5:24 pm
I guess it saves me paying for me blue rinse this week...
it's stopped raining by me now, but not exactly nice and sunny as planned! Badger, give me a call if it does cheer up but i guess we can't change the plan again, so will stick to Günthers...
I can hear thunder... GMs here we come...
if anyone has the numbers of people who were planning to come, can they give them a call?
Badger
Jul 20 2004, 5:29 pm
It's ok; I don't expect the plan to be changed around me. It's just that I had the idea of the beergarden in my head, like everyone else I think. I'll watch a crappy German movie about a guy pretending to be gay on telly instead. (I know me tv)

It would be interesting to see how big of a mess it must have been at the Chinese Tower when the rain came all of a sudden. There's not like you can hide inside somewhere with all the people who are there...

Ok,
TT Tuesday beers, as suggested on the
rugby thread how about Osterwald beer garten on the edge of
englischer garten.

Dont know much about it myself. There some details
here and maybe we can do a
TT review once we have visited.
I'll be arriving with the rugby people some time after 830 I guess. If anyoen is heading up earlier, feel free to post on here.
If people are going up earlier, post on here so that poeple who arent going to the rugby dont get lonely!

dumb question...
one. will we all fit in?
two. are they cool about a mass (i presume there will be more rugby people tomorrow

) of sweaty, muddy, lould talking, thirsty expats arriving en bloc.
otherwise i will drink beer anywhere, so yea lets go there
canuck
Jul 26 2004, 4:31 pm
Let's check this place out...I'm in.

Jul 26 2004, 5:17 pm
i love the place and had no problems reserving tables once for a large crowd of beer swilling expats (but our finger nails were clean and i don't think we were over-glowing).
the food is great. waiters friendly. must admit, though, have only ever sat and swilled outside. nipped indoors to go to the lavvy, mind, and it seemed okay too.
but erm...am not sure can carry the responsibility of 30 thirsty rugby men not being happy!
gideon
Jul 27 2004, 9:29 am
@ellewood
i've never met a lass yet who could claimed to have been able to keep 30 rugby men happy
