The Tuesday gig sounds like fun - I haven't been to Murphy's yet (new here!)... Looking forward to it. I'll see if I can't drag (?!) one or two other folks from work - but would they need to register with TT first?
Cheers,
Rennie

The passphrase to claim your free beer/cider this week is:
"Have you heard of Toytown Munich? It's fantastic!"
If the person you say this too replies,
"Yes, brilliant isn't it!"
Then you get your free beer/cider.
If they reply with something like,
"Leave me alone you fool, I don't have time for your nonsense",
then I'm afraid you picked the wrong person.
That's how it works. Simple. Remember to check the small print in the first post of this thread for caveats.
sorry guys, I wont be making it tonight. Have been ill and am still not up for going out.
have fun & see u's next week!

It's not a nasty cold is it? Half of TT seems to have that, me included... I might still pop out for one pint though.
sparty
Nov 4 2003, 11:32 am
...and I am afraid that the other half of TT will get it soon
sorry, its not a cold, I got meself tonsilitis
hopefully I wont be passing this around to the other TTowners though
Jimbo
Nov 4 2003, 12:12 pm
Oh hun! You poor little thing...
I was slightly concerned that this might be too, as I've had that before, and it is like the mother of all colds with added symptoms...but I feel a lot better today.
Hope ur well soon,
JV
Aw bless you Jimbo, thank you for your concern.
Im sorry to hear you've not been well and am glad your feeling better.
Dont worry Jimbo, you dont keep me down for long, I'll be back out causing trouble before the week is over
Jimbo
Nov 4 2003, 2:01 pm
Good stuff Bex, I'm sure that Munich is a poorer town without you running around in it causing trouble...
And if you ever want to cause any trouble in
Schwabing, just let me know
Issn't Beer the only medicin the people in Bayern use? Adapt to the culture then I'd say!!
Jimbo
Nov 4 2003, 3:35 pm
Medicine? I tells ya, I didn't do me any favours last weekend mate...God I felt bad on Sunday!
That's just the redbull-whisky kicking in

(I still think it's a weird combination)

Well howzabout that then?
I love beans!
Nov 5 2003, 7:41 am
Thank you, Editor Bob! Last night was fun.

Where were the boys of Toytown???
With a 4 girl for every guy ratio, I'm sure more guys will come next time. (Sorry Jimbo and Sparty)
Jimbo
Nov 5 2003, 8:25 am
The ratio was not THAT high apart from right at the start of the evening. And the two young ladies (who thought I was 28!!!) that I was chatting to, aren't even members on here (yet, anyway) - Hi to Kate/Kath (sorry, bad memory today) and Nina (also apologies for getting a little too drunk!).
Great night though - well done Bob, a class act I must say.

So who went then? I couldn't make it - which is a shame cos I rarely turn down a free beer.

Nov 5 2003, 9:52 am
Yes, it was a great night! Two thumbs up!!
Yep, was a good night out!
But Jimbo,

apologies for getting a little too drunk
Where used to that

Nov 5 2003, 10:31 am
Actually, can I just say, Lady Town Towners (at least those of you out last night) - you really are a good looking bunch of girls. I salute you.
Bob, any chance of a TT Anne Summers party?

Nov 5 2003, 10:44 am
Last night was fun, even if I did have to scuttle off at an unreasonably early hour. Nice to see some known faces and get to put a face to a few of the new people on the board.
Katrina
Nov 5 2003, 12:13 pm
Hiya gorgeous Toytowners,
last night was a very good night (despite Rangers losing) and it was lovely to put a face to some of the names.
And when I got home I told Herr Indoors about it - he thinks TTM is some kind of self-help group. He might be right there though...

Katrina
PS for Jimbo: it was Kate and Nina which I remembered because the combination of both names almost makes my name. Well, sort of.
Jimbo
Nov 5 2003, 12:18 pm
Kate and Nina - thank you. I had way too much to drink last night (I hadn't eaten) and so totally forgot their names, probably only after I totally insulted them. Sometimes my smart mouth really isn't so smart at all...
Oh well, was nice to meet all you guys - I was very impressed by the turnout, and will definitely be back next week - early enuff to get a free beer this time AND have time to eat before everybody else shows up!
sparty
Nov 5 2003, 12:24 pm
Ok, so now we know that their names are Kate and Nina...but where are they? Were you too drunk to remember that they told they'd sign up today?
Katrina
Nov 5 2003, 12:35 pm
Well Nina teaches at the International School in Haimhausen so she should be teaching German at the moment - she was also very complimentary about my German so she should definitely join - ha ha.
I also had the "no food 'til hometime" problem but Herr Indoors had not only done the tidying but had also made a chili waiting for me when I got back so that was quite a result really.
Next time, just order a chicken wing basket.. goes good with the beer

Nov 5 2003, 12:52 pm
Katrina,
Wow that sounds grand. Can I borrow Herr Indoors sometime?
Good to meet you all...the TT boys aren't so bad lookin' either.

To all of Toytown:
No offense to all the wonderful men here, and also last night was a blast, the group was great and the talk was fine.
But the number one pleasure of the evening was absolutely the very handsome and well dressed Sparty and Jimbo.
Very nice, gentlemen.
Jimbo
Nov 5 2003, 1:43 pm
Hey, I was having an off night last night. You should see me at full health, maybe in a tux, perhaps coiffing a nice glass of Cloudy Bay (a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for the uninitiated) and probably stood on the poop deck of the law society's boat on the Thames. Now THAT is Jimbo at his James Bond best. No guns and less women though.

Should have come to your pub crawl instead of watching Hamlet in the theatre.

Nov 5 2003, 3:39 pm
Yes, it was great fun last night at Murphy's- thanks for the invite. Kate & Nina had a good time, too. I especially enjoyed meeting everyone AND watching the two simultaneous premiere lg. games on - and Chelsea 4-0! Zowie! The Man U one wasn't bad, either -
Jim, by the way, someone took the small stack of biz cards that I was going to dole (sp?) out to some peoples... Sorry - I do hope that it was someone who had the same intentions? At some point, I'd be happy to take some more & pass them out (ended up with just one in the end!) if you'd like.
Cheers & see y'all around again soon.

I've been spying on you for two weeks now, so I guess it's time I opened my mouth

I was the one last night wearing the Paul Frank monkey tee shirt by the way. It was really cool to meet you guys and I'll definately be back for more. I may drink less weiss bier next time though, getting to work this morning was an ordeal

Well wexford, that's probably a common thing here with TT people, being at work and thinking that it was too late, too much to drink...
