OK... anybody got any sugestions? I had a turkey doner two years ago in Nuremburg... and it was quite yummy.
Or we could have thanksgiving "dallas style" and go to a tex mex restaurant.

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin, Hazelwood, is serving Thanksgiving dinner every night Nov. 21-26, meaning you can eat turkey every day for almost a solid week if you feel like it!
You get sweet potato soup, turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie for 15 EUR per person. if you have a party of four or more, you can opt for family-style service. The owner/chef is American, and judging from the food I have had there before, I would expect her Turkey Day meal to be great. The address is Choriner Strasse 72 (corner of Zionskirchstrasse). You should probably make reservations for larger parties as it isn't a huge place, 030 44 32 46 35.

I can't meet up until eleven at night but would be happy to meet someone for a few drinks after the meal
I'd definitely be in if we want to go as a group Thursday. But I'm out of town until Wednesday, so someone else should call about reservations.

Unfortunately I can't make it on Thursday myself, already booked for another Thanksgiving dinner.

Dude thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. My stomach needs to be filled with all that good thanksgiving food. If you are really going to have a gathering on thrusday send a message and I should make it.

Scott, maybe you could organize it since there are people who are interested but can't take care of the reservation beforehand:

P.S. I'm nowhere near Berlin or I would have gladly done it myself.

I'm from Seattle and in Berlin for Thanksgiving. I'll be heading down to Hazelwood tonight, thanks for the tip!

What time are you planning to go? If we form a group of four or more they'll serve it "family style", plus it might be wise to make a reservation. You, me, Scott above and another American from my institute would make four. (Belle said something about drinking her Thanksgiving dinner in another thread...)

Ok so what is the consensus? I am willing to go anywhere to eat for thanksgiving or have drinks. I am in with whatever the plan is. I would say we go to the food place mentioned above around 8 or so. Hopefully there is a table open. Let me know what the agreement is
Ah, crap. We just called Hazelwood and they said they're completely booked tonight. Unsurprising I suppose.

Other ideas? Drinks? Does anyone know another good place. I barely ever go out to eat and thus dont know a lot of places that are good. Will come along if someone has an idea of what to do. Shit thanksgiving might just be "another thrusday" this year. Oh well
There's a group having drinks at August Fengler in Prenzlauer Berg from 20:00. Joininh them seems like as good an idea as any:
