Don't panic, fellow adoptive Ossies, it's a short walk from the Stadtbahn, and right on the U7.

Since it's close to my nexk of the woods, that should be quite doable for me. My only thing is that I've got a reception beforehand near Brandenburg Gate that I have no idea how long I'll be at, but on my way home, I figure to drop by.

Hey Angel - yes, of course, newcomers are very much welcome. About a third of the people at Thursday night drinks are newcomers, the rest are people who used to be newcomers but got addicted (like myself)

Veterans is what you call us non newbies! Soon you will all be one! And Thursday nights are for everyone and anyone. I have been attending regularly and now I am a fully fledged alcoholic, and very rarely make it to work on time on a Friday! Thirsty Thursdays rock...I think!

Please do not blame the wonder that is thirsty Thursday for your alcoholic tendencies young lady. They were WELL established before you even turned up in Berlin!!

It officially starts at 8.. but people mostly show up anywhere between 8:30 and 10.. and as for how late.. as late as you want. Some people start going home around 10 or 11, but certain people tend to stay out until 5am

Time = 8pm
Date = Thursday August 23rd and every Thursday (at a different location)
How to spot us? Some of us have photos. Some don't. If you post a photo then we can keep a look out for you too. Normally we say "look for the big crowd speaking English" but I think this week that might not be the best thing to do!!!

I am a Finnish girl doing my internship here in Berlin, and don't really know anyone here yet. This thursday night drink sounds like a lot of fun and I would be happy to join you... If that is ok of course? I am not a native speaker but I think I should be all right nevertheless...

I'd like to come but I don't think I can. I blew my bike tires last drinks night and haven't fixed them yet, and also I'm detoxing so I have to stay away from alcohol and being exposed to smoke.

Humm.. if it's any indication of the day I'm having, it's 1:45pm, haven't had a break, and it doesn't look like I'm getting one - even for lunch. So, if I get out of here on time, it'll be a minor miracle... let alone if I make drinks... I'm gonna try at this point.

as much as the Harp was a nice place - can we pick somewhere this week where we are able to make noise - particularly in the interest of Goonergal and Scotslas they really shouldn't be restrained in that way it's not good for their health.

It was suggested that we went to hairy mary's as they have live music next thursday - plus we can make noise there! Any thoughts?

hmm? yes! suggestion has been agreed to. Hairy Marys it is, unless anyone feels that we simply must try somewhere new in which case ill suggest somewhere round the corner and we can do a drink there and then all who wish to see the live music can journey to diedenhofer strasse.

Yeah, I liked the area the irish harp was in, but was *NOT* impressed with the service. 35 minutes for a spoon to have the stew?

Benefit of the doubt would be that it was a bad night (4 servers on and all of us) but...

I still think they would have done better to have each server handle one set of tables rather than have one person take your order and another one bring you the wrong thing 15 minutes later.
