Thursday night drinks in Berlin

Sounds fair to me.

All you could all just come down to Dresden and get drunk with the Dresden Toytowners. We will even let you chose the name of the pub.

Regarding location, I feel it's up to those of us who live outside pberg and xberg to make our suggestions known. It shouldn't fall to others to do that. Loretta is a fun place but it is pretty far out.

not to further complicate things, but I would actually have a stronger opinion on making TT drink meet ups on FRIDAY nights once in a while.
Maybe once every two months?

Walked by Loretta's this afternoon and they were closed!! Big ole gate and everything...No signs and nobody could tell me what the deal was. I'l google tomorrow and see if I can get details.

Apparently there is a biergarten in C'berg. I just assumed there wasn't a place around here unless you went to a pub/bar near off the Ku.

I have never been to a Thursday night drinks yet (why wait for Thursday is what I say..) but reading this soap opera is better than watching TV (then again anything is better than watching TV here)... Thanks for the entertainment. I can't make it this week but you have definitely sparked my interest for next week.

Hi im Derek, im new to the forums. I would like to meet some English speaking people. Im from Buffalo, NY living now in Pankow. So please feel free to get to know me. I would like to meet fellow english speakers and make some friends out here.

Here is a bit more information on the Golgatha beer garden in Viktoria Park. The address is Dudenstrasse 48 - 64 and the nearest transport is U-Bahn: Yorckstrasse (U7) and Platz der Luftbrücke (U6); S-Bahn: Yorckstrasse (S1, S2); Bus: M19 Yorckstrasse, 140 Katzbachstrasse or 104 Dudenstrasse. The 140 bus is, in my opinon, the closest stop and the bus stops at Mehringdamm.

So what do people think? Is Kreuzberg enough of a change from P'Berg?

Looks good to me - it's alot closer anyhow.

I'll chat with some folks from Potsdam tonite and see if they can come too. Maybe a few from where I work even.

Sweet, the website says the place stays open until 6am daily, and that DJ Funky Fil will be spinning "Black Music" on the dance floor late that night.

Sounds like those of us who don't have to get up early on Fridays (or should, but tend to make bad decisions on Thursday nights,) won't have to go out in search of a second bar afterwards.

So we'll try to meet outside somewhere at Golgatha, unless it's raining or something (supposed to be raining all day but stop that night.. so maybe the chairs will be soaked or something and we'll end up inside after all). Agreed?

Check our profiles - several of us have pictures up. We also try to tell the bartender or someone on the wait staff that we're with the Toytown bunch.

Most often, however, it's usually because we're the loudest english speaking bunch in the place. It makes us hard to miss.

Take a look at the map on the website so that you can orientate yourself. Once in the beer garden we will not be hard to find. It is not a big place and we are generally very load - especially when Scotslass and I are there

Anyone can join (says the newbie...) and you should get the SBahn west to Charlottenburg and then get the U7 to Yorckstrasse... from there look at a map...

Tom - yeah you can also take the bus down Kantstr. to Wilmersdorferstr. U-Bahn U7 station (same as what alex said basically). And certainly anyone is welcome.
