How about Weltempfaenger, Anklamer Str 27 / Ecke Ruppiner Str. am Arkona Platz, Mitte
A friendly cool neighborhood place. Seats around 150 ppl on the street. With 2.5x1.80m or so outdoor screen + great barbie service.

A friend of mine and I would volunteer to turn up around 7:45 to squat a bit of TT space.

However, just with all places no matter how large that have footie on this coming Thursday, defending a bit of the space will be a bitch, so best if lots of ppl turn up relatively early.

Weltempfaenger sounds like a great idea. Lots of space outside, big screen, non-smokers and smokers will be happy. I'll come along to squat some space.

Weltempfanger's a good choice. I'll also help squat seats if it helps. Between my impressive 79 inches in height and a sinewy three hundred pounds of muscle mass, I have a nice, intimidating presence that universally declares that anyone who tries to takes these seats will be punched so hard their skeleton will fly out of their body.

Hey Guys, I'm new to Berlin and will come join you. Will be able to help with the seat saving too as plan to arrive for 8.00. Keep an eye out for me (looking lost), long brown hair, average height and build (god I sound average!). Hoping you'll be there as there appears to be two meet ups tommorow night! Any changes keep me posted and I will check on internet before I come. Ill look for the long table with only a few sat around it. See you tommorow

Sorry folks, I came by but the crowd was a little more than I felt like dealing with, so I left. I'll be out of town for the next two weeks but will try to come by on the 10th. I look forward to meeting everyone.

I can recommend that Deck 5 beach bar again as the weather seems to be cooperating, although my attendance has been flakey as of late due to football...

The forecast looks good, and its Russia v Spain in the football, I reckon we should go, especially if the weather is nice.

Wish I could go, but my flight doesn't get in until quite late. I'll see you all next week tho.

Hi guys...I've been meaning to come along to a Thursday night drink for ages, and may finally be able to make this one, depending on the hangover after Wednesday night (I lost the entire of Friday because of last Thursday's celebrations!!). I couldn't find a reference for Deck 5 when I Googled it...could you post the address? Cheers!

Its on top of the Parking deck at the Schönhauser Allee Arkaden.

They've got two big plasma screens for the footy. Get there early to claim your lounge chair.

Even knowing the address is not a lot of help, as no one in the place knows were the lift to the top deck or deck 5 is (look a lift beside the post office and near C&A) Its not on any of the maps of the center either! Very impressive views over the whole of the city. I would have to say one of the best sundowner spots I have come across.

Now that all the f*!king football is finally over can I suggest we go to the bundes press standbar as it is the only real strand bar left in mitte and it's not far from the hauptbahnhof and we can also play volleyball as well.

Now the football is finally over we can get back to our normal taking over of unsuspecting bars with our loud group of english speakers. I've been away for the last couple weeks so looking forward to coming along this week.

Beach volleyball? An excuse to go out in public with my boardshorts? I'm in. Plus, this would be my first one in about a month and a half, and conceivably my last for another month and a half.

Any idea where this is going to be yet?
