Thursday night drinks in Berlin

Fine...but its a massive place so someone has to have a red hat on or place a stuffed toy on the table. So we can fine each other and any newbie's have a chance finding us.

I suggest Globalgirl wears the Dolphin Head she made for Hairy Mary.

I'll be there rather early and will actually wear my cowboy hat (by now I think that dolphin head's gotten around a bit and I'm a bit weary to put it on ever again), so that people can find us.

I'll also bring a piece of paper with TT on it to put on the end of the table.

Great, I was going to skip this one, still feeling the last hangover, and you guys arrange it five feet from my house. You bastards.

I've been once and I think will make it again this week, I like Prater and I feel the need for beer!

I looked and looked for the Toytown group at the Prater Gaarten last night and never found you!! After getting the flu, moving, and getting over the flu, I was so looking forward to drinks too! I hope you guys had fun, the gaarten was cool, if super crowded. Next week I vote we pick a place that is slightly less crowded so people can find each other!

Yes, please, next time if we can chose a smaller place because that's 2 weeks on a row I couldn't find you guys (ok maybe at Nolas I arrived too early and the group was too small to stand out but still...). I'd make a suggestion but I don't know Berlin well enough yet.

Maybe we should get a TT flag and claim our area in the bar. If you come late enough, you just have look for the tall guy doing something ridiculous.

I swear I will remember the hat next time. We had a great turn out last night with over 30 people (a lot of new people which was great to see), and I appologise to anyone who was unable to find us, we hope to see you next week.

Hi, I'm Jim and am visiting Berlin for this weekend from the UK, so I'd like to join you all. I've already messaged Sunny and she's given me the low down. What's the nearest tram or metro station to the venue plse? I'm staying in the east, near Weißenseer Weg. Thanks for any help.

The best way to get there is to take the S-Bahn to either Tiergarten or Zoologischer Garten and then it is only a quick walk to the beer garden.

I would like to put in an early suggestion for the Astro Bar in Simon-Dach-strasse, if it's not too unoriginal a choice... they have good music and comfy sofas and generous shots... and they sure don't mind loud groups!

May I be a bit selfish here: I crave the fresh air now that it's finally warm enough to be outside... and suggest that we go some place where we can be out of doors in case the weather's nice, and inside if it happens to rain? Seems like the weather will hold.

www.heinzminki.de is not quite as perfect for our purposes as last week's Schleusenkrug coz the Heinz bar area is tiny by comparison. But at least there is one -- and by way of a beergarden the place rocks, and their pizza is spec--taaaaaaacular, as well as reasonably priced.

Happy to go anywhere else too, and will of course still attend if y'all don't mind being enclosed by bricks and mortar.
