Ok I am definitely tagging along.

Will be there at 8.30 so I'm not completely baffled - is there anything in particular I can look out for (anyone with two heads, forked tongue etc)? If not then keep an eye out for a lost-looking blonde person, that'll be me... more than likely!

We are easy to spot. We wear capes and Zorro masks and... Wait, that was a dream I had. We are the obnoxious group of English speakers, which can really narrow it down in Berlin. Look for Zaphod, he has two heads, but doesn't really come to TT often.

If one of the first people could tell the bar staff that we're with Toytown so if anyone asks at the bar, they can point us out. Although it usually is pretty easy to spot us especially since the place isn't too big.

how about 'Milch und Zucker' @ Oranienstraße 37, Kreuzberg ?

I wouldn't mind heading down to kreuzberg, but I think Milch und Zucker looks to be too much a coffee shop and not really a bar where people can stay late if they want to (watched some little video thingy and didn't actually see any alcohol, and on second look- unless there's another place with the same name it says it closes at 19.00)

This might be a good place for a Saturday or Sunday coffee meet up.

It's fantastic to see so many new people coming along. We had around a dozen new or new'ish faces turn up last week.

All we need now is a venue... (something where 30+ people can turn up unexpectedly, and room for us to mingle)

*edit: was confused by the punctuation but just realized Trinkfeufel was a suggested venue. Has anyone been to this bar? If it's fairly popular or bound to get busy later on then there might be too much of a clash with the 'regular' clientel..

Has there been a drinks night at Murray's since it stopped being the Old Emerald Isle? Or does the pub quiz disqualify it?

ok, i did a bit of research today.
how about 'Hannibal' (www.hannibal-berlin.de). its at Wiener Str.69 just outside Gorlitzer Bahnhof.
It says it does Happy hour making all cocktails 4.99 between 21:00 and 23:00. the other drinks are all well priced as well.
i asked behind the bar and she says its an open ended closing time.
really nice in there.

too be honest it looks like im going to a gay glam rock electro night on wednesday now so probs wont be able to make it on thursday. so if bluecow wants to go to his heavy metal bar than all be it.

I'd lean more towards Hannibal myself. every one looks a little extreme in the photo's at the other place, if there was some sign of a mixed type of crowd there I'd be more inclined but I think we might not be so comfortable fitting in there.

Hannibal was cool last time we went but make sure you reserve a table otherwise there'll be nowhere to sit and there's not really rooms to mingle. I would have a suggestion otherwise, but don't want to confuse the issue...

I need to finish packing and I have to leave the apt at 6 AM to be at the airport for 7 the next day...lightweight excuse but I'm out.

I think I'll be there - and with a guest since I'm off work on Friday. It will, however, depend on them.

I'm new in Berlin Mitte and came across this website. Im Canadian and am here for a year on a working visa. Im very interested in meeting up with some english speaking people! I'm finding it hard to meet people, and Im not too sure how to go about it. Im interested in coming on Thursday night. Could someone just let me know what the age range is?? Myself, I am twenty and hope to find some english speaking people that I can relate to.

Hi Angela - The second post in the thread (by jessephrenic) should give you all the information you'll need as a newcomer. Most of us are in the age range of early 20s to early 30s.
