Pussy Galore is a great choice. I was going to recommend it sometime down the line. Nice lounges and big space. Was there a few weeks ago for a birthday. I'll try and make it out if I can get over these stupid allergies.

Thank you guys for the nice TT drinks, had lots of fun yesterday as always. The TT drinks were a positive surprise for me in Berlin. Hope to be back soon for a TT drink, but before that I will probably see some of you in the Hairy Mary's.

I am back in Berlin -- back from Washington -- and will join the Thursday night festivities.

Hey, I've been in Berlin for a few months now and I finally have the chance to get out to the bar this week, any decision on where it's going to be?

if there's anyone with an idea of a bar that's not to hard to get to and has enough space for 30 + impromptu guests. first person with a decent pick gets to choose where we go

How about Habana Bar - Grünberger Straße 57, Friedrichshain is at crossroads of Simon Dach Str and has lots of space as you go in on the left, food is good with huge proptions of mexican type food?

Sure they must have a web site as well about 100m from goldfish or whatever it was called where we went a few weeks ago.

Sounds good. Looks like we're headed back to Friedrichshain again. We're going to have to make sure we bring thursday nights back to p-berg soon, I keep struggling jet lag from all this travelling.

8.2 km! 8.2 km! Ok, I will see you guys there tomorrow night... I will bike 8.2 km to be there with you.

8.2 km is nothing! When I was a kid I had to bike 30 km to school, snow storm or not. And the bike only had one wheel!

Uh, don't they call that a unicycle. And 8.2 km is nothing going there, but on the way home -- late and after beverages -- it will seem like 82 km. Besides, I am old.

No it was an two wheeler, so I had to carry it. We also used to live in a shoe box, under the motorway. Kids today are so spoiled.

So this week can we please have some suggestions either in Kreuzberg or Prenzlauer Berg? Or indeed anywhere other than Friedrichshain.

It was the Old Emerald Isle, what is the opinion of this? It appears there is a pub quiz on Thursday night, so probably wont be suitable for us to invade!

Not necessarily true. They have that basement area we could all hang in without interrupting the pub quiz. Just throwing that out there.

Well if the berlinender wants to call and find out if thats ok with the bar, and even reserve the space then great!

Some thoughts were discussed regarding the strikes.

We're thinking of having it at 2 locations this week. Perhaps the K-bergers can have it at the irish bar.

Us up in P-berg... any ideas yet? Something on Kastanian allee?

It might be better to choose someplace closer to Bahnhof Schoenhauser Allee, as that would make it easier for those coming with the S-Bahn to walk to the venue.

Dr Pongs on Eberswalder Str, only 10 mins walk from Schonhauser Allee S Bahn. Drinks, music, and Ping-pong for those who might fancy it!

I'm not sure how busy or loud dr.pongs gets on a thursday evening as I've never actually been inside. but I'm inclined to say lets go for it since it's relatively easy for most of us in P.berg to get to (or anyone who can catch the ring bahn)

Now that there is an S-bahn strike what will we do??

someone must live near an sbahn to be able to just look in the window of a place. If a bar looks like it could hold 20+ people, post it.

Ex. erdbeer is walking distance to Alex... just a thought.

Not sure what's around F-strasse, it's been a while. But I wasn't sure if there was a reason it was preferred to be on the ring when the e/w line of Sbahns should still be running as well?

At any rate, I'd like Erdbeer for next Thurs (when it's my birthday... and I'll be sure to buy a round on me! ) :-)

Hi. I just registered with this site and I'm not really sure how everything works. I'm new to Berlin (first week). I was wondering where the group was meeting up tonight? I'm living in Charlottenburg and I'm used to the S-Bahn, I'm just really interested in meeting some people I can talk to in English (my German isn't up to par yet). And I'm almost finished with the third season of The Office...I haven't gotten out that much...

Right then. In the absence of any organized plan for this evening, I'll be at Hairy Mary's from around 9pm. (Shocking, I know.) I assume a fair few other Thursday-night regulars will be there as well, since that's our local anyway. See you there.

I want to go to a new bar. So I've looked up a bar I saw a while back but thought it was a bit small for our big group but since I doubt we'll have 50 or so people out tonight this bar can handle up to about 25 or so, so should be fine.

It's called Marietta at Stargarder Str 13. very close to Schönhauser Allee S-bahn station.

mmm...not your favourite bar then! I'm not familiar with this "pretentious WATTLE", the bar is usually lively & fun. Quite a young crowd in the main, many enjoying the 'killer' game of table-tennis. Some think they are good players, and most are! Not to everyone's taste obviously.
