Sandgroperin, you owe me a new keyboard. I just laughed so hard, I spit apple juice all over it.

How was the Mickey D's? Any kids there with Che t-shirts?

All that Alcohol was making me hungry (It's a vicious circle)
If I'd thought too hard about it I would have got a craving for Chicken McNuggets with hot mustard sauce and salty fries. But I try not to do that in Europe.
Hope you didn't have any problems with
salty burgers...

The secret is to dip the fries in the hot mustard as well.

Fry sauce - it's a Utah thing. Mix mayo, ketchup, a little dill - and dip everything in it. French fries, chicken nuggets... yeah.. Everything.
alex_m
Sep 14 2007, 12:51 pm
But mayo and ketchup together just makes prawn cocktail-style sauce...
I think we used to call that "French Dressing"? Anyway, it's gross.
alex_m
Sep 14 2007, 2:09 pm
No french dressing is yogurt based with green flecks of unknown stuff in it! That goes on salad.
Prawn cocktail-style sauce is, I think, 1000 island dressing...

"French" dressing has different meanings on different sides of the Atlantic.
And yes, I know on which side of the Atlantic the actual France is located.

Where does one get this so called "baton?" Just joking. This will be my first possible tt Thursday night so I don't want to take the baton but how do ya'll fell about Whitetrash?

Doesn't White trash charge entrance fees after a certain time?

Hello everyone,
I've been in Berlin for a while now but still haven't see its bars. I'd sure like to attend this meetup for the first time next Thursday. Where will it be?
globalgirl
Sep 18 2007, 8:31 pm
it seems we're open for suggestions this week. Somewhere not too too difficult to get to, where we could get 15 to 25 random English speakers squeezed in.
HankdaTank
Sep 18 2007, 9:42 pm
I just checked the whitetrash site, yes, they want money. It's 3 euros but it's featuring Evil Jared from the Bloodhound Gang. We would be guaranteed one hell of a disgusting and childish act which would be funny. We could forget casually conversation as I am sure that the volume would be intense.
That's the problem. The point of Thursday Night Drinks is supposed to be casual conversation. White Trash could be a post-drinks activity if we want to go somewhere in the area. (Too bad we just did Erdbeer.)

I am just got in from California last week, would love to make the meetup... am I correct from the subject title that it is tomorrow Sep 20? Ohio on Schlesische Stasse 35a in
Kreuzberg is a cool bar... if more than 10-15 people show there are a couple bars right next to it to handle the overflow. Also the Lido right across the street has some bands playing for the popkomm. Short notice but doesn't sound like anything else has been nailed down.
cheers,
Paul

how about Bergstübl on Veteranenstraße (25). My boyfriend and I went there on a Friday and it wasn't too packed... plenty of seats together etc...
globalgirl
Sep 19 2007, 11:07 pm
I say we go with the safer bet for space and go with Bergstübl especially since the weather is a bit chillier. When the weather is a bit better it makes it easier for spilling out of the bar type places.
Was super busy last week but looking forward to getting out tomorrow night.
