Just introducing myself

Introduction from an American in southern Germany

M.Rynish
Hi:

My name is Mike Rynish. I'm an American who's been living in southern Germany for about 22 years (including my 9 years here with the military). I lived in Munich for three years but most of my time here was spent in the Augsburg area. I recently returned from Colorado after spending 2½ years there. I speak German at the conversational level. I wouldn't in a million years dream of writing a book in German.

I came across this site by accident and figured I'd register to see what kinds of responses I get and to get involved with the American community in south Germany.

So, if you feel like making a posting or want to give me some tips about how things work in this Website please do. I'm all ears.

All the Best
Mike

I suggest getting a job and then accessing it from work so you can ignore work. Thats best way I hear to enjoy the site. I dont know for sure because I dont have a job.

Oh yeah welcome.

Welcome Mike. Just keep browsing around the website, you'll soon get the hang of things. But be warned, it's a madhouse. ph34r.gif
If you feel like a trip to Munich, check out the "Meetups in Munich" subforum to see who's doing what when. Have fun! smile.gif

Hi Mike.

Welcome aboard. I am a newbie to this site, myself.

I gotta ask it now.. how come so many Americans are stationed in Munich or around Munich. Which military facilities are in that area? I've been stumbeling accross this for quite some of the postings here.

How do you like livin in Germany?

Ever been up "north"? smile.gif

Howdy Mike-

Welcome back...to Germany...

I am curious...how are you readjusting to life here again after moving back to states and then back here?

I feel the urge to set sail again... just fear that once set up back in the states-I'll want to move back here...

yikes... it's a blessed cursed! biggrin.gif
