Kes (I'll put her down but not sure. But no worry on the food front she is veggie so won't eat anything)
Grimsby (He did say he was up for it one night down the pub - not heard anything else though no response to PMs or text messages)
So that makes 16-18 people. Little Britain how many plates do you have? Shall we bring some or get paper ones?
Also does anybody fancy bringing some crackers instead of food? (One of the blokes maybe?)
The Secret Santa people - you know who you are and who you are buying for. Please do not let the side down. Those who could not pull out of the bag directly have received a PM. I'll have probably forgotten who was buying for who anyway so not really a big deal.
Right time to get back to some work

@Number10, Looks like you didn't register for the Secret Santa mate! I must admit, looking back at the posts, it doesn't look like it.
@Muffin thanks for organising it and you will never guess who I have got!

Hee Hee, I presume your comment that a bloke should bring crackers, implies that blokes can't cook?? I'll be bringing food along, I'm sure you will want to sample my famous ribs! Thanks for the numbers! (Yikes!)

well I borrowed a load of plates of my auntie when I was in my first flat, I've had to give these back to her now.
As of right now I have the grand total of 4 plates in my flat!
So I would suggest that either you guys all bring plates or we just get some paper party plates.
I also have a dishwasher so if we do have proper plates it will be easy to clean up, no dish washing duties

Billy I am not implying that blokes cannot cook. What I am saying is that I am confident that most of the blokes on here (yourself excluded) will not be bothered with making something! Hey maybe they can all prove me wrong but somehow I doubt it. Just a bit irritating as I know us girls (and hey yep we are all just as busy as the guys) will go to a bit of effort!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm that is a toughie obviously I cannot ask for both
Billy
Dec 5 2006, 10:35 am
Who said you couldn't ask for both? Well if Jonnyboy was a sophisticated tanned hunk, and brought a beef casserole, then bingo!. But yep, you are right, if he does this, then one out of two ain't bad

P.S. Johnny bring a spare set of shoes in case you lose some...

Final Infos
Address Martin Luther Str. 31 (directions to follow from LB) name on bell is King I assume?
Time How about 2pm that gives us time to recover from Saturday night. Can people try not to be too late please.
Secret Santa Those taking part know who you are and well you know you'll all be looking a lot worse than a Purple Muffin if you do not show or forget your pressie.
Can I also ask you all to put a name tag on the gift so we know who it is for.Food we agreed that everyone was to bring one dish to make up the buffet. It does not have to be homemade so don't feel under pressure to go to a lot of effort unless you want to. But the rule is if you are coming to brunch then bring something. I will have to think of a suitable punishment if anyone dares not to bring something.
We will also need paper plates, cups, cutlery (maybe one person could bring these instead of some food - please let me know).
Ok think I have been bossy enough for one afternoon time to get back to work
Look forward to seeing you all Sunday

Hi Bilalbham, its probably going to be 2ish when I get up there I'm afraid, picking up Mrs, Billy from Frankfurt airport at 9.30 then driving back to HD for her to get unpacked, check the ribs, pack'em then trundle back up to Frankfurt. She may want to rest when she gets here, as she will have been up since 4am to get the flight.
@Muffin, your final list didn't include Bilabham's +1 I don't think.
See you all on Sunday!

as discussed last night, there will prob also be at least 5 of my fellow ex-Frankfurt student colleagues who will come along with me. It is our yearly Xmas re-union weekend in Frankfurt so the ones that do not have to fly back too early on the sunday will be up for coming along.
there's a couple of girls and a few guys, they are all a very good bunch
ps we've got a table @ Joe Penas booked on sat night - we'll be out later on so may meet up with you peeps that are out in town etc. Thinking Studio Bar then Sansibar at the mo, if we can't get in there then we will probs head to Stereo Bar in

Billy
Dec 7 2006, 2:44 pm
Sure, 2pm means 2pm now that I am in Germany!
Er...the numbers are increasing...can't guarantee that all the ribs will go round so when they are gone, then they are gone. Another incentive to arrive on time I suspect!

Dec 7 2006, 2:48 pm

Ok folks still need a volunteer to organise some cutlery and Christmas sevriettes.
It would be great if someone could do this please let me know today if you can.
Otherwise I cannot promise to find time to get some myself (but I will try) so people might be eating with their fingers.
Billy
Dec 8 2006, 11:25 am
You eat ribs with Fingers anyway! I'm going to the US-base this afternoon, so I can pick up Plastic KFS and a bag of serviettes. Do you need paper plates? Can pick those up too if you like.
Guess I'm the volunteer then...

Plates and cups are being brought by chickenmadras.
Can you get Christmas serviettes? They would be better. If not I can get some

Oops, that's true, you never know if Santa will turn up or not! He looked like my shape and had my glasses on, but obviously it wasn't me - how could it be? His little helper was hot though! She must have been busy making all the toys in the Toy Workshop in the North pole!

@jonny
sounds like i missed a good one after the prezzies ! shame - although i was already lagging after saturday a bit to be honest!
Santa will be pleased to know I proudly wore my gangsta bling all the way back to GE..all the more funny cos i was sat in 1st class.. my new found "hip-hop chic" prompted at least three baseball capped youths to make strange hand signals in my direction... and I'm sure the swiss police were giving me more attention than normal... "Iz it cuz i iz black ???"
Anyway cheers 'nivea soft' LB for providing the gaff
cheers santa for being jolly and generous
cheers miss santa for flashing the flesh
