Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any advise on sending a package to Australia..

I am thinking about sending my video camera home so my brother can you it during his holiday in Jan.

Any advise on who I could use and how much it might cost..

Ive searched the DHL website and it told me it would cost about €150. There've gotta be joking right..

I send many packages all around the world with DHL.

Most importantly - what does it weigh?
Do you want it sent insured?

To give you an idea:

DHL "Paket" not "Air Freight" (insurance only to €60) up to 10kg = €52
Same Paket, by AIr freight (which includes insurance to €500) = €94

DHL Paket up to 20kg (not Air, insurance to €60) = €82
Same Paket, up to 20kg, with "Air", (insurance to €500) = €166

These days it would probably just be cheaper to order your brother a new camera.

And my own quote from this page:

You can find some English info here with links:

DHL Postpaket International

€82 for 10-20kg For Zone 4 (Australia) and an extra €20 for 'Bulky Goods Service'.

According to the website it should only 11-15 days to Australia, and air mail for the same weight is only €84 with 7-9 days delivery time.
