Dear all,

I'm a foreigner here in Germany and will be moving from one company in Munich to another in Berlin in December, but still confused with different kinds of paper. If you don't mind, drop me some lines.

1. Is the "Aufenthaltsgenehmigung" different from the "Arbeitsgenehmigung"? I guess, they're different but should be on the same paper and people apply for both at the same time (and the same place?), right?

2. The "Aufenthaltsgenehmigung" (or "Arbeitsgenehmigung") application process would take about four to five weeks. How about the "Anmeldung bei der Meldebehörde" (its old name is "polizeiliche Meldebescheinigung")? Should I wait until I actually arrive in Berlin to apply for this paper?

3. Are there any other important papers I didn't mention?
