And now a new era begins. Mark Twain said that when he was 14 his father didn't know a thing and that he found himself completely surprised when he turned 21, by how much his father had learned in 7 years.

I feel a little melancholy today, that my baby is by no means a baby anymore. The one word (well if you can even call it that, it is more of a grunt) responses to my questions has already begun. As has a strange and sudden deepening of the voice.

Part of me is celebrating and part of me feels apprehensive.

Either way, apprently I am keeping up with the changing demands of a growing boy well enough to meet his standards. I gave him a paint-ball set and a crazy lie-detector machine that shocks the shit out of you with an electrical charge if you lie. (hmmm..that might come in handy in the next 4 years).

He thinks my gifts are "awesome" and "sick"..

Um, but..maybe I am not keeping up as well with things as I thought...since when was "sick" a good thing?!

Since the 90s I think.

Happy Bday to the boy and as far as the old lady thing goes, well me mum always says, as long as i think my children are still just that "children" I can never be the "old lady" smile.gif

oh god unsure.gif
I am out of it.
bern
Don't worry...I didn't know "sick" either. Regarding having a teenager...my deepest and most heartfelt condolences... wink.gif
hams
A little self appreciation goes a long way - not an 'Old Lady' but a 'Yummy Mummy'. wink.gif
Saint
hehe..yes, but my son didn't like it too much when a boy in his gymnasium thought I was his "geile Schwester".

I waited until my son wasn't looking to say "yes!" (just kidding) tongue.gif
hams
Mrs. Robinson now comes to mind... *starts humming* biggrin.gif

So does this mean you're like officially a MILF now or something? That'd be cool.
Saint
Does that mean I get to wear one of those T-shirts?!
Actually Jenny, I did have a 14 year old French boy stop me on the street here and ask me for a light for his cigarrette. When I told him in very bad French that I don't smoke he spoke to me in broken English and said, "hey, where are you from? I like your eyes"

It took me a few moments before I realized that this kid was trying to flirt. Now that's "sick" and not in a good way...bloody French. laugh.gif
Jenny L
biggrin.gif yes I suppose you could.

However, I'd say you're a sassy enough MILF that you probably don't need to wear the t-shirt for people to recognize you as a hot mom. wink.gif
hams
Ok let me now flaunt my ignorance, or should I say innocence - what does MILF stand for? ph34r.gif
Kay
@hams
Trust me, you don't want to know... but I'm sure it won't be long before somebody posts a link. You can google it or simply do a search (it came up on TT a while ago).
Keydeck
I hate teenagers. Rude, obnoxious scum the lot of them.

Saw some teenagers on the u-bahn the other day. Can't have been more than about 15 or so. As the Zug pulled into Münchner Freiheit one of the male teenagers said that they had to get out there. A female teenager stood up to go for the door at which point the male said, "Disziplinierter Muschi". Charming.

Train yours well SD, train him well.

Hams, you know this because you asked before. Mother I'd Like to Fuck.
Saint
I think it originates from a film, right? American Tarte, uh..pie
hams
Just figured it out - good to know that the grey matter has finally kicked into gear... oh my!! unsure.gif

@Keydeck - have I already asked, must have slipped my mind. Now I am worried...

Ok let me now flaunt my ignorance, or should I say innocence - what does MILF stand for?

I googled and this is whuit I came up with:

Mothers I'd like to Fu#k

"mothers, whether married, separated or divorced, that a male individual sees as physical attractive enough to want to have sexual intercourse with them. Just cuz their moms doesn't mean that they don't need a spark in their love life. If they've ever breastfed, they have really responsive nipples and a core of erectile tissue in their breasts. The ones in good shape have worked at regaining control over their vaginas (Kegel exercises).MILFs are usually real careful about birth control, they know accidents happen but they take responsible steps. They want to fuck with abandon, with no romantic complications for their under-19 family.
A MILF is any mother that is sexually desirable.:
bern
The term MILF has been around for years. Seriously doubt it originated with American Pie.

@ Keydeck...truer words were never spoken.
hams
Good to know Deccie. So what would be the opposite of a MILF?
Saint
Keydeck,

teenage girls can be just as horrible. In the metro last week some girls dressed like street rats where listening to horrid music on their mobile phones. It was loud and obnoxious. When a gentleman asked them kindly to turn it off or way down they refused. Apparently, many teenage girls have as difficult a time getting their social borders (or lack of) under control as they do applying make-up. They all had that line on the chin where they forgot to blend their foundation.

See, these are things parents need to be paying attention to. Not to mention the skirts that look more like belts.

Invisible. I think that the male teen mind automatically filters out older women. It must be evolutionary
Keydeck
I know SD, I hate all teenagers.

I had a similar experience with a couple of teenage girls playing music on their phone. I asked them to stop but they didn't. As they got up to leave she held the phone near my ear as she walked past. I twatted it out of her hand onto the floor. Got some approving nods from the other passengers for that one.
mere
happy bday Daniel (Dana please tell him happy bday from Brennan and me)
Saint
oh, that reminds me KD.

On the fast train (Sbahn) between Melun and Paris two weeks ago, I saw a group of teens smoking weed and one of them went up to a man an sprayed some kind of perfume in his face.

Now see, where I come from, you could stand up and give the little twat a good slap. Here the man just sat there looking harrassed.

little creeps.
hams
SD - surely it's not only teenage boys who fantasise about 'M they'd LF'? tongue.gif
Keydeck
Teenage girls too?
Saint
I hope not Hams because I like older men, much, much older men.
arshoo
Hmmmm...I find a lot of meself (when i was one) in these teenagers and I somehow like the know-it-all and you shut up you old fart you have no idea what the world is like now attitude. I still to some extent think that about the old folk on the Ubahn. So have all been there and am sure we werent the prettiest or gentlest of people when we were teens. Ignore them, they will grow up!
Saint
OK, Arshoo..spill the beans...whadja do?

True. Once when I was pregnant a guy I knew asked me if I wanted to have sex with him. My first reaction being " blink.gif Ew!! But I'm pregnant." He just grinned and nodded and said, "Exactly." It almost made me vomit.

A DILF:

"A hetero girl or gay boy's version of milf"

"A fine foxy daddy, preferably with a wife and three kids. Ripped to the max from carrying all those baby carriages, idolized by mature teenage girls/gay boys"

JennyL - that is really gross! What a perv - not even his own unborn child... blink.gif

Deccie - thanks once again, and I suppose the complete opposite of both would be a 'minger who nobody would like to F**k'. ph34r.gif

OK, Arshoo..spill the beans...whadja do?

there was this time I set the willage on fire, took the fire tenders about 7 hours to get it under control, first time I made the local papers smile.gif and that was just the begining of me teenage years!
Saint
OMG Arshoo, LOL

on second thought, I don't know if I should be hanging around with a known arson. wink.gif

Which would make me a hypocrite. I once caught a back yard on fire trying to impress my buddies by showing them how to strike stones to make fire and roast a hotdog I had brought in my backpack.

I was 10
I got a switching from the little old lady next door..she switched me with a plum tree branch all the way home.
but my friends thought I was "sooo cool"
arshoo
biggrin.gif you still are cool SD!
Saint
And Keydeck,

were you a good boy? Sometimes I wonder if you just turned bad when you hit 30 wink.gif
Those are the worst kind ph34r.gif
Keydeck
Who said I turned bad? I've always been an absolute sweetheart me.
Saint
That's not the kind of "bad" I was talking about KD.
I should have said "mischievous".
Jenny L
or "naughty". ph34r.gif

don't worry, Hams..things slip my mind all of the time. Between motherhood, partnership, career, friendships...I only retain useful information. Everything else can be referenced later. Thank god for google!

edit: and Oprah!

oh my, I used to think that Oprah was just for my mother's generation. oh, who gives a f**k, I am unashamed. I love O Magazine and am proud to admit it biggrin.gif

I'm not surprised. Unfortunately the RER is notoriously unsafe.
Saint
I wasn't on the RER, but yes you are right about it being unsafe. Fortunately I only have to take it when I go to the airport.

There is a train between Fountainebleau, Bois le Roi, Melun and Paris that runs non stop from Melun on..we were on that one on a Sunday because we had been in the forest over the weekend.

I somehow missed that part the first time round..

hey! good on you! I would have been tempted to applaude you. I bet the girl was shocked.
Renia
Congratulations belatedly from me (I met you briefly once in the GBV with EuNomad), hope you are having a wonderful time with your boy on his birthday. Scary that they grow up, I am looking forward to same, but also know if my daughter is anything like me, I have major headaches ahead... ph34r.gif

Jenny, I have just read this thread...OMG. MY own husband didn't even want to have sex with me! huh.gif
hams
I know - it's too foul to imagine, a 'strange' man wanting to say hello to your unborn child. wacko.gif
As for having sons, as long as they're careful it's alright... ph34r.gif
