Self-service laundrettes in Hamburg

I'm looking for a SB wäscherei in Hohenfelde or Uhlenhorst... or anywhere for that matter.

I have the yellow pages, but when I call the oh so helpful ladies seem aghast that I think they are a SB salon.
Help!

Hmm. Not exactly sure if you mean what I mean when I talk about SB (=Selbstbedienung)?
SB means you wash your stuff yourself, right?
But then it wouldnt make sense to call there, as normally there's no person there, they just come in the evening to close the doors...

edit: so what do you want from them when you phone?

I recall seeing one on Fruchtallee when I used to regularly drive into HH.

Now I'm thankfull that I have WFH - avoided the jam on the A23 a few days ago

there is usally some kind of attendant on duty.
i call first because i want to know if can wash my clothes there so i don't schlepp there in vain.

OK, just wanted to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

Don't know about Uhlenhorst cos we live in Eimsbüttel/Stellingen, but since you where asking for anywhere: there's one in Osterstraße 16 that we have used, pretty crappy, and no attendant there, but open til late.

There used to be one in Altona which was combined with a bar with live music, don't know where exactly that was, just liked the idea of being entertained while waiting for my laundry to get ready.
Maybe someone else knows it.

Tor, there is a sb wash place in mundsbergerdamm. at the start near the Alster. Opposite an Esso petrol station. Bus stop at the door. 20 metres from Uhlenhorst U-Bahn.

Waschbar still exists, yes, it's on the Ottenser Hauptstrasse (or whatever it turns into). Go out of Altona Bhf onto the Ott Hstr side (pedestrian area) and carry straight on. It's almost at the other end (10mins walk or so) on the right side, there are a fair few nice bars & cafes along that road.

There is another SB one if you turn left just at the end of the pedestrian bit, on the corner past the small platz-thingy, much closer but not so cool looking. Never used them though, but may be doing soon.
