Recorded phone message regards T-DSL installation

What does it mean?

Hello!

I did a little searching on this topic and have one remaining question... Yesterday, I received a recorded message from T-Com regarding my pending DSL installation. I also received my new modem. I already had a splitter, so the whole thing is hooked up and ready to go.

The phone message I received (in German, of course) said something about today (Mittwoch). I'm assuming that today is the day for installation, but at the end of the message they gave me a number; presumably, telephone number.

Because this was a 'canned' message, I'm hoping someone out there has heard it and knows the gist. Do I need to call T-Com to set something up? Or will my DSL just be turned on today? Not sure what to expect because my German is so poor.

Any helpful guesses are welcome!

Na ja... My crystal ball is at the cleaners right now, so it's not so easy to help you.

When you ordered DSL, you had several options.

1. They send you the hardware, visit your house and set it up and configure your router and computer.
2. They send you the hardware, visit your house and set up the 'hardware' only. You configure the router, etc.
3. They send you the hardware only and you must install and configure everything.

What they said depends on which option you picked.

Option 3: install it myself. My uncle actually did all the ordering, but he is now in Thailand so is not able to tell me much.

Thanks for lending me your talents for seeing in the dark!

It gets turned on today, if you have any problems then call the number they gave you.

Excellent! I love magic. Thanks so much Adi and DarkKnight!

Hi I have a related question on this topic. I recently moved to Germany and have set up a home t-mobile account with voicemail. Now the t-mobile t-netbox thing calls us every couple of hours to tell us that we have messages (which we don't know how to check). I would really like to turn this feature off, does anyone know how? frankly I'd like to turn voicemail off too - I get messages in enough places already! smile.gif
