Airport skate night: Sat 24.Jul.2004

So there's "skaten am flughafen" tomorrow night at MAC - looks like you can skate round the airport... anyone know anything about it? It's on muenchen.de but details in German. World premiere etc etc

I read about this yesterday in the in-Muenchen magazine. The thing starts at 7pm with crappy german singers and bands, and then the actual skating starts at 9pm. Its one lap around the airport grounds which is 16km. The whole thing is free.

Okay, looking at the route, they aren't letting you too near anything important, but it just strikes me as a possible big mistake for airline security.

Just make sure you stay away from that Erdinger Alkoholfrei stuff. It's nasty.

It's all part of a well coordinated exercise to get them all into one place and away from public streets. At 9:47 exactly the Apaches will arrive and sort out the blading problem once and for all. Mwoahahahaha!!!

I see from the muenchen.de article that they plan to close the entry and exit roads at the airport. Only for a total of 50 minutes, but it should be enough for a fair bit of traffic to build up.
