Okay, girls, I reserved a field for Sunday, March 13, 2005 from 2:30-3:30. Cost is 40 EUR for the hour, so it will cost about 4 EUR per person. Now, who's able to play?

Here's the list so far

1 kym
2 sk8rgrl
3 k1w1
4 danishdelight (goalie!)
5 caitlin
6 (mrs) thejarvii
7 sumac (goalie!)
8 lbherwick
9 Johanna
10 Heidibligh ?
11 quarblotz ?

Let me know if I missed anyone!

What ever happened to this women's team?

I'm ideally looking for a league or team that my husband and I can both play on, for fun.

"For fun" does not mean that we're all out there for the enjoyment of the game, that's a given. I mean that we know our way around the field, but you wont be seeing any fancy tricks from either of us. ohmy.gif

I've read about the Irish Rovers- but there are comments that people would play more if it wasn't all boys. Are they playing too fast/high level?? Although they list all player types on their website, the recreational level doesn't look like they play games, just practice. Is that right?

They seem to be the best group to join, being the most organized football group around- and they DO have pics of drinking beer on their website, which is always a bonus.

Any thoughts or feedback for low-mid level girl and guy football players looking to have some fun?

Thanks.

Munich is spread out. You might want to put in the region in which you live to entice more location specific responses.

I have seen a Girls/womans team train on a Monday evening at around 6.30pm in the summer months up at Studentenstadt. I dont know what the standard is or what they are called sadly.

Have found on Google

FFC Wacker München 99 have 4 teams!
FC Puchheim have 2 teams

www.ffc_wacker.de
www.fcpuchheim-damen.de
www.tsv-gilching.de/fussball/damundMaed/index.html

or contact the Bayerische Fußball Verband

Hope that helps

About 18 months ago there was a group of over 10 girls who were organising indoor five-a-side football via this forum. See the discussion: Girls five-a-side football at Olympiapark

It looks like a number of the participants have either left Munich or started having babies (girls do that).

Maybe if you send a personal message to each of the participants you can reactivate the group.

I would be keen on playing if someone organised a team

I will contact some of the girls who played before, and look into the info from DallyM... Otherwise, seriously, if anyone just wants to get together at a park and kick the ol' ball around. Some of the best games I#ve played are 2 v 2 with backpacks for goals, plus it's a good way to get started. From my experience organizing a team takes time.

Let me know

I´d definitely be interested in playing a bit a footy. I can kick a ball around, but I´m no pro!
