Dinner and drinks evening in Hamburg

Hi Everybody!

We've been talking about it for a long while, now it's time to actually get something started.

Following the Munich example we want to give it another go and try to establish some regular meetings for Toytowners and friends (like Munich Curry Night or Drinks Night).

For a start we will meet at: Laufauf. This is a quite down-to-earth little place for Auflauf (casserole) and lots more. Have a look at the menuand how to get there.

On: Monday, November 20th, 2006, starting at 6 p.m. (if that's too early for you feel free to join us later)

Please sign in before November 15th, 2006 if you intend to join us, so that we have an idea about numbers.

So... don't be shy. Post here today! Tell us one of the following now:

1) yes, I'm definitely in for Monday, November 20th
2) I'm interested, but will confirm for definite nearer the date
3) I can't make this date, but am interested in future occasions

Next meet up is planned for 1-2 weeks later, at Hofbräu Hamburg. Details to follow.

Hi, I am "almost definite" now Question: How to recognise the right table?

We'll be in a separate room, just don't know yet if it's the bigger or the smaller one, they keep the reservation open for the moment.
Anyway, when you come in just go streight on and after you passed the bar it's either the first or the second room, think you might hear us speaking English then

Just got back in to town and I'm still on for monday,see you all at 6.00pm.

Sorry for the late post but I have just seen it today. I will be there to feast on food and drink and I will be bringing my partner also.

I hope this doesn't throw a spanner in the works for seating arrangements - looking forward to hearing some English voices.

AAAAAH! I am So sorry-i will have to bow out of tonight..My hubby and i only got back from Bavaria 2 hours ago and we have been called into work on account of an emergency so unfortunately we will be working tonight! SO sorry but absolutely will be at the next one!

I was a definite last week and like South Africa06 I am incredibly sorry, but I might have to pull out. I came back from the US this morning and am having to deal with a few things at work. I will try to still make it as I have a few hours. But if not, I WILL make it to the next one.

@Hammonia and ExpatMan: Thanks for organising. It was a good night. I enjoyed myself although I scalded my tongue on the Laufauf Sorry that I didn't get to know you two tonight but it was nice to get some insider information from the Airbus guys. Looking forward to the next one!

Was great to finally get a Hamburg meetup going. I think it went pretty well with 15 people there. Managed to take Beechy along to Karaoke at Finnegan's afterwards too although I didn't get to see him sing.

Will post some pics today/tomorrow.
