Juuuust for the record - is it possibly my name that is a problem?
It is really a bit confusing to me that i was advised to hop on this page to chat with other people but after three days of haunting this place i think i have had maybe two responses from one person... mmm, strange, but if anyone has an idea please let me know.

Change your name to Safohsix.
Not that I think that'll help matters but if you do it then I want to see what else we can get you to do.

Serious advice, you get what you put in. Talk to people and they will talk back. Get involved in the various discussions and you'll be off and running in no time.

Why? Is there a problem with the current name?

You're missing the point. Toytown is an established community and very welcoming of newcomers. However, just saying "I'm here, now talk to me", isn't gonna work in most cases, although it seems to be doing just that here. Just get involved in the discussions and if possible go to one of the meetups in your neck of the woods and get to know a few people. You talk, people will talk back.

Mmmm, i realise that and i thank you for your advise. But when i do reply and try and get involved and hardly anyone responds, then i think its ok to find out why.

Prior to this thread you'd posted five times and today only. What are you expecting? Give it a chance. As I said, get involved and contribute and the rewards will be forthcoming.

One other recommendation - never end your username with "6" - they're known f**kwits in this community - few people read their comments.

Mkay, maybe you should not expect too much. Best would be to go to
TT events in Hamburg (if there are such things). If you go there, people will get to know you and will speak to you more often on the forum. But at the moment you are one of 2000 users (don't know the number), so why do you expect to be spoken to all the time?
Btw, welcome to Germany. I am from Cape Town.

I am glad that you are new to germany. 5 years back it was worse.
You would have been back home long back if you were here.
Some of us live in and around Hamburg... I must say, up to this point I hadn't seen any of your posts..

@SA06
Prob. because your profile isn't filled in with Gender (Females get more attention) and a good picture of yourself.. Add those to things and you'll prob. get my people
wanting to talk. Also looking over your others posts, you're married. This can be a big turn-off for some of the people.

Not being mean, or pervy, just telling it like it is...

SA06- ignore DK.
you don't have to have a gender for people to talk to you. and not all people on TT are skeezy people only looking for good looking females.
ugh!
