Munich Pumps Race - Christopher Street Day

most people know on saturday its pride in munich, party at marianneplatz and on rindermarkt also.

On sunday, munich hosts the pumpsrace. Held yearly its basically a obstacle race for transvestites, including such things as hand bag tossing etc...

This year its from 1400-2200, outide Vollmerhaus on Oberanger.

Its basically a street party with food and a race

I forget the Pumps race was on, that's Sunday taken care of, had a great time there last year and got a bit tipsy on alcopops.

Really fun to watch, I can't take part as I'm too STR8 acting!

Never been to the pump race, never even bloody heard of it in fact. Suppose it will depend on the amount of booze consumed at Marienplatz on the saturday. Was quite alot last year.

If you survive the orgy and depraity and swiggin alkopop carry outs at the CSD parade and party on Sautrday, Pumps Race on Sunday is a nice way to spend a slighty tipsy afternoon. Come along, it's a great laugh.

What happened to the race? I showed up around 3 or so, and nothing but old, ugly queers dancing to uninspired techno.

Not that I have anything at all against elder statesmen, diverse musical choices, and robust gene pools... but damn! They needed a pumps race like a Vegas show needs a metric ton of rouge, eyeliner and a couple of white lions.

Was I too late? Did it even happen?

They didnt get started racing until around 6pm, and it was fun to watch

I guess everyone who didnt party on marianneplatz came out yesterday to dance all day...
