Today is the start of the 22nd International Short Film Festival in Berlin.

From Monday 7th to Sunday 12th November, a total of 486 films will be showing from 48 different countries. The emphasis this year is on films from Brazil and the Czech Republic.

A number of the films are in English, a number have English subtitles, and many have no spoken dialog at all.

The venues are all neighbouring each other in Berlin-Mitte. The addresses are:

Volksbühne, Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz
Hackesche Höfe Filmtheater, Rosenthaler Straße 40/41
Festsaal Hackesche Höfe, Rosenthaler Straße 40/41

The opening party is at 8pm this evening (Tuesday 7.Nov.2006) at Volksbühne am Rosa Luxemburg Platz. Entry costs 8 Euro.
