@Monkstown
Well the last time it was left cold and abandoned on the ground with people looking at it, a harrowing experience. Still I won't be bringing it tonight so it's okay.
QUOTE (Yeti @ Dec 22 2006, 12:47 pm)

I think you can describe a Ramones album as many things but not as nice.
Heathen!

Nice, Sin, is for biscuits, hugs, doilies, postcards, small puppies and when the 'c' sound is emphasised by extra strong exhalation describing a fair female of the opposite gender.
A Ramones album is balls to the wall, tuned me arse, do my toes look big in these sneakers rock and roll, it's great fun but it ain't nice.
Topsy
Dec 22 2006, 1:09 pm
well, i really meant that it was nice of the bloke to put the ramones album on
i wouldn't really pick "nice" as an adjective to describe the ramones, personally, either
Yeti
Dec 22 2006, 1:10 pm
Topsy, of course I knew what you meant, I was only making conversation.
Besides I knew it would get Sinboy huffing and puffing.

Although I hate to interrupt a discussion about the The Ramones, can I just ask how long people will be staying at the Rindermarkt?
I'd like to come along just before the real drinking starts in GBV (see my previous comment about not drinking things on fire).

The drinks aren't on fire, although after the third you'll wish they were.

Not on fire? Hmm.
Anyway, will people still be there at 8pm?

The question is irrelevant. The Ramones discussion will continue unabated down the pub.
@Yeti. The Ramones are cuddly, and so is their music. Which makes them nice.
To quote the lyrics of
Warthog, as I remember them:
Wa-wa-wa-wa, wa-wa-wa-wa!
Wa-wa-wa-wa, wa-wa-waa!
Worrrrr!
Warthog! Worrrrr!
Warthog! Worrrrr! So deep and meaningful, with such a grip on social anxiety it was untrue.
Yeti
Dec 22 2006, 1:31 pm
No firmer grip was ever exerted on social anxiety than in the following post modern poetry of the Ramones:
Chewing out a rhythm on my bubble gum
The sun is out and I want some.
Its not hard, not far to reach
We can hitch a ride
To rockaway beach.
Up on the roof, out on the street
Down in the playground the hot concrete
Bus ride is too slow
They blast out the disco on the radio
Rock rock rockaway beach
Rock rock rockaway beach
We can hitch a ride
To rockaway beach
Its not hard, not far to reach
We can hitch a ride
To rockaway beach.

is

Yeah that's
Padres Topsy. The caipis were a bit rubbish tbh but the frozen strawberry Margaret Th*tchers were lekker! Some cute eye candy for the girls too. The other place is like helles and shot and loud music and no trendies. I'm easy.
Got to go for scoops down in sales now.

I had driven to work and had to get cheap diesel on the way back. Friggers raised the price 4 frigging cents since yesterday. Now I have finished the first bottle of white wine and had half a bag of salted potato chips. PMS is underrated.

Pretty regular run of the mill Friday then.

Anyone up for a quick gluhwein before Munich rolls up the sidewalks for Christmas? I need a bit of fresh air before I knuckle down and start assembling toys. The Schwabinger market,
Hohenzollernplatz market,
Haidhausen market and a couple others are open today.

I'm back from my errand, and can tell you that
Hohenzollernplatz is shut tight, but
Münchner Freiheit is buzzing, but shutting down around 15:30.
What time is
Haidhausen shutting down? Could make Münchner Freiheit much more easily than Haidhausen.

Dec 24 2006, 4:15 pm
It shut while I was there - about 2, though a gluhwein stand around back was selling until about 2:40.

Oct 31 2007, 12:24 pm
Sat around a quiet TTT last night, we realised is was under a month to the first POE meetup..
An hence, the official start thread was born. Friday 30th November - from 5pm
It then follows on every friday at 5pm up until christmas.
TT's
Pots of evil wiki entry gives the location and background information, discussion from previous years will either encourage attendance or put the fear into you.
Pots of Evil is an open event. Follow-on events are at the discretion of the individuals, no affiliation to other Friday events should be implied.
Last year, it wasnt really cold enough for POE. We need snow! and we need cheesy music!
Remember early doors participation doesnt make you big, funny or clever - but you might get a seat inside. Attendance is at own risk, food consumption is advisable. Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it.

Drinking, singing, dead goat, wake up under a bush.
After work on a Friday,
